Score one for a Hall County homeowner, whose video of a "soccer mom" burglar breaking into his home led to a woman's arrest Wednesday morning.

Rhonda Faye Rollinson was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary, according to Hall County jail records. Rollinson is being held without bond.

Rollinson's capture was thanks in part to video surveillance footage provided by a Flowery Branch homeowner who says he was a victim on July 16.

Kevin Olson, an Air Force reservist, wasn't home that day, but he knew right away someone had entered his home through a basement window and exited the front door. That's because Olson makes a living installing security cameras and often uses his own home to test equipment, he says.

"I don't understand why she didn't see the cameras," Olson told the AJC.

But the cameras saw a thief. Olson said whoever burglarized his home was only inside for 60 seconds, but it was long enough to steal a laptop.

Cameras in his home got a decent image of the woman's face and her car, Olson said. He turned the video over to detectives who were able to link the woman to other home burglaries in the area, he said.

Earlier this week, police said the female burglar was fashionably dressed as she carried out her crimes. "... She could fall into the 'soccer mom' category,” Col. Jeff Strickland of the Hall County Sheriff's Office told Channel 2 Action News.

Rollinson's car, a Kia with damage to the front, apparently turned up at a local gas station, Olson said. Rollinson apparently had abandoned the car, but police were able to track her down through the license plate.
