Four children are fighting to recover after being badly burned in a fire at their Cordele apartment.

The children were burned in a Sunday fire and ranged in age from 18-months to five years. They were supposed to be taking a nap, but investigators believe one of them began playing with a lighter and accidentally started the blaze

They were taken to the Augsuta Burn Center.

Cordele police believe all the children will recover and said doctors expect to take the three youngest children off ventilators this week.
