The Georgia Department of Education on Wednesday released school-level results from the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT), which were administered to 758,512 students in grades 3 through 8 in April and May.
The results of the tests are closely watched by school districts and administrators since they are a factor in determining whether a school makes Adequate Yearly Progress, a critical benchmark of the federal No Child Left Behind Act.
The CRCT tests students' knowledge in reading, English/Language Arts, math, social studies and science, and passing some of the tests can determine whether a student automatically advances to the next grade.
About 200 schools came under suspicion for CRCT cheating in 2009 . Security was tightened in 2010, and fewer classrooms were flagged for concern on a follow-up analysis released this year.
Look for your school’s results below and compare them to the performance of students in neighboring districts.
