Violent crimes increase across metro Atlanta
Violent crimes increase in Atlanta in 2007, with the city recording its highest number of murders and aggravated assaults in four years, according to statistics just released by the FBI.
The numbers of violent crimes and murders also rose in most of metro Atlanta's largest counties.
Nationwide, violent crime dipped slightly.
