13-year-old College Park girl found in Fayetteville
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Kiara Hodges, a missing 13-year-old girl from College Park, was found Saturday in Fayetteville, WSB-TV reports. Hodges went missing June 21 around 9 p.m. and was spotted along Old National Highway Wednesday.
According to WSBTV, Hodges was banned from her Facebook page, a few days before her disappearance. The day she went missing, Telina Shelby, Hodges' mother, saw an inappropriate conversation Hodges was having with a guy on the internet.
Shelby told police she was an honor student, making A's and B's in school, which is why she couldn't believe she had run away.
"She left out of the house and witnesses say they saw a black, brand new pickup truck stop near her," Shelby said.
Shelby's oldest daughter, Kalani Shelby, was at home with Hodges when she went missing.
According to the report, Kalani Shelby was feeding her baby when she decided to check on her sister. It was believed Hodges, a camper at World Changers Ministries, slipped out of the rear door of the house without anyone noticing.
Telina Shelby said she and her family moved to College Park with a church member three weeks ago after losing their home in Peachtree City, adding that they are not familiar with the area.
There are no other details concerning Hodges' case.
