Review: Director Jim Fall's new film "Trick" may not be a huge treat, but it's a sturdy and often well-acted
example of post-AIDS, post-"queer"-bashing cinema.
In this romantic comedy, the characters' sexuality isn't the only thing that's a given; so is a prominent
aspect of gay single life. That is, while lots of guys are looking for true love, on any given night they'll
certainly settle for a quickie with a real cutie (actually, a good many straight singles feel the same
way).
