If more people took road trips with their cantankerous parents, there would be a lot less need for family therapy. At least that is the message of Paul Reiser's amiable comedy, The Thing About My Folks, where you can see every plot twist and automobile turn coming, yet still find yourself with a lump in your throat by the final credits.
