'The Honeymooners': Forget the preconceived notions and enjoy it

I was so prepared to dislike this remake of the classic Jackie Gleason sitcom, because the all-black cast seemed like a gimmick and because it just looked dumb and soulless. And sometimes I should shut up when I don't know what I'm talking about. Cedric the Entertainer, who fills in for the Great One as dreaming, scheming bus driver Ralph Cramden, occasionally lapses into a Gleason imitation, but I get why he was cast — he's the universal guy, who has a pretty wife, a dead-end job and the feeling that, this time, he's got the ticket to the big time. TO SUM UP
Bus driver Ralph Kramden and his best friend, sewer worker Ed Norton, hatch a get-rich-quick scheme to get out of Brooklun and onto easy street in this updated film adaptation of the classic Jackie Gleason and Art Carney television skits.
