Developer Brand Morgan has revealed his plans for the 73-acre mixed-use project that will surround Gwinnett County’s new baseball stadium near Lawrenceville.

Filings with Gwinnett County show the project calls for 351,000 square feet of retail space, 617,000 square feet of office space, 300 hotel rooms and 610 condominiums or townhomes.

The project would utilize land on either side of Tech Center Parkway, the road leading into an office and industrial park developed by Morgan’s Brand Properties.

Morgan did not immediately return a telephone call seeking comment on the plan.

Drawings show a project that stretches from Rock Springs Road east to Old Peachtree Road. The drawings seem to show residences over retail along the stadium’s first base line and commercial venues beyond the outfield.

Morgan, who sold land to the county for the stadium, will ask county commissioners Tuesday for permission to request a mixed use overlay district designation, a formality required before the remainder of the planning process can begin.

No date has been set for a hearing on the project.
