Rookie Medlen gets another start with Braves

Braves manager Bobby Cox said rookie Kris Medlen will get the start Saturday against the Brewers.

The Braves need a fifth starter that day, and Tom Glavine won’t be ready by then, even if he rebounds well from his final minor-league rehabilitation outing Tuesday night in Rome. That would be only three days’ rest.

Cox said the Braves are looking at three different scenarios for Glavine but won’t decide which way to go until they talk to Glavine after his rehab outing.

For Medlen, it’ll be his fourth major-league start. He’s coming off his first major-league win Sunday in Arizona, when he allowed one run in six innings.
