Peach Pundit was feeling bittersweet on Wednesday: Bitter about the national results; sweet about the state.

Over at Georgia Unfiltered, the mood was depression, describing the election as probably the lowest point in the history of the state Democratic Party.

Because GA had quality Republicans on the tickets. I agree with the statement by DeLay that the Dems didn’t win the race - the GOP lost it. Too much scandal and corruption. It’s an embaressment for me as a strong Christian Repulbican to see

Well, I can’t give you every reason in the world, but I can give you one of them - it might have something to do with certain factions of the Democrats calling them racist, redneck hicks. Seriously, I thought the liberals were supposed to be open-minded
