Remarkable. This makes me mad because we can get footage like that of a plane crash, but not of bigfoot or ET.

Forget about OB and Washington. You all need to be asking about this 21 millions your Governor borrowed for his companies. I do think HE must be some kin to Dick Cheney. All other governors turn over their business to a trust, but Nooooo, not sonny/dick the republicans. This is what you get when the Republicans take over, they line their own pockets while State employees will not get a increased in pay this year. way to go sonny.

cj2, I don’t think this is the article about the governor’s loans. I’m not a Perdue fan at all. Can’t stand him, either.

That said, do you have any idea what was going on in grain markets in September? How much money it was taking to keep grain companies afloat so the headline wouldn’t have read, “Governor’s Grain Companies Cannot Pay Farmers”? No, I didn’t think you did.

The $23 million is most likely a credit line secured by real estate and inventory. The governor probably had to put up every asset he owns, including his residence, to get loans to buy grain. The inventory would not show up in records searches, but would be secured with U.S. warehouse receipts.

Like you, I am surprised that the gov didn’t have his assets in a blind trust, or that he even had that option. If a governor’s business is such that it is too risky to have a blind trust, maybe he shouldn’t run for governor?????
