Ron Paul: ‘Palestinians are in a concentration camp’
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Forget Cynthia McKinney on her skiff. This video on Israel’s invasion of the Gaza Strip by Ron Paul, the former Republican presidential candidate, is likely to stir up a deal of dust:
The six-minute clip was first posted on Campaign for Liberty, a Libertarian web site. Here’s the most incendiary quote:
“There is no benefit for us to be involved in this fight over there. This thing is an entire mess.
“The Palestinians are in like a concentration camp. They have a few small missiles, but it’s so minor compared to the firepower of Israel, who has nuclear weapons. And they can turn off all the food and all the water .And yet we are going to have to accept some of the moral responsibility for this.”

The only thing this stirs up, is an extremely rare, almost extinct, thing in politics and that is - straight forward truth. Sometimes the truth hurts and unfortunately, given as rare as it is, the talking heads get paid to spin it.

The only people such a statement would negatively affect are those who live in fantasyland by believing that Israel is always the perfect angel and can do no wrong. Google “USS Liberty” and see how American sailors have been treated by Israel’s government for decades. The US should immediately stop supplying ANY country, including Israel, with economic aid and weapons. We’ve been doing this for so long and at the same time we’re confused as to why we’re so disliked around the world. Nevermind the constitution doesn’t provide authorization for any of this foreign aid.

If the author of this article thinks Dr. Paul’s quote is incendiary, perhaps he could explain why. Just because its true, doesn’t make it “incendiary.”
How does Joe Public, American Citizen, benefit any more from supporting Israel than other countries who can’t get along with their neighbors?

I don’t understand why Paul’s comment stirs up any dust. I also don’t understand why we care what happens to Israel or the Palestinians. It also escapes me why we send billions of tax dollars to Israel. He’s right, we will have to accept moral responsibility for what Israel does. In fact, we will probably be attacked on our soil again because of our support for Israel. I don’t believe it’s worth fighting over that “holy” dust.

Actually, most in the libertarian movement in general and the LP in particular want nothing to do with the nutjobs that typically associate with CFL.
As far as Dr. Paul’s comments themselves go, he is correct in noting that the US should not be aiding ANY foreign nation in ANY way other than strictly neutral peace and trade.
Or, as Andew Davis pointed out in this blog, in the words of Jefferson: “peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations; entangling alliances with none.”

So, it is proper debate material to discuss the rantings of some rejected old coot, but not proper debate material to discuss The Obama, his Clinton hacks, and the goings-on in Chicago. Do I have that just about right there, Jim? And I will not forget that Cynthia McKinney was rammed. I have always supported Israel, but they now have my never-ending, undying support. I wish I could have seen the look on her crazy face when they bumped her Peace.!

America’s Author, Founder, and Prophet, Thomas Jefferson: “that revolutionary nutjob?” Little wonder “Akston” agrees with Rome’s frontman Ron Paul. Google “Roman Catholic for Ron Paul” if you care for America and the Dream upon which it was founded.
And Ron Paul is such a “patriot” that he states unequivocally Bush and Cheney did not commit 9/11, despite the obvious truth (Viz, Mineta testimony; “The New Pearl Harbor,” Griffin, PhD).
Though Mr. Jefferson identified Rome and its pedophile priesthood as “the real Anti-Christ,” “an engine for enslaving mankind,” in 1819, his First Inaugural Address in 1801 did include the optimistic notion of friendship with all other nations.
However in 1809 his nephew Meriwether Lewis was assassinated by Rome as he fled the papist basecamp of St. Louis.
Roman Catholics then went on to assassinate LIncoln in order to subjugate the Protestant Jeffersonian Jew-loving South; backed Rockefeller and his creation, through unredressed murder and arson, of the Standard Oil monopoly, which is now Roman Catholic “Big Oil;” financed the rise of Hitler and Nazism through Rockefeller-front Prescott Bush; gave us McCarthyism to silence those looking into the traitorous origin of WWII; then assassinated John Kennedy (Viz. The Knight of Malta-led Roman Catholic CIA led by Nixon and GHW Bush) to send us to die in the papal estate of Vietnam.
Now Bush2 was cheated into the White House by only the Roman Catholics on the Supreme Court (Viz. Breyer dissent ‘Bush v. Gore’) to go on to commit 9/11, keep the borders open to promote Rome’s organized invasion for conquest outlined in their “National Pastoral Plan for Hispanic Ministry,” and Americans permit themselves to be cowed by agents of Rome’s Fifth Column like Bob Barr, Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, and a whole host of draft-dodgers and perverts aiding and abetting the overt treason that Rome’s false elite has employed to destroy our economy and The People’s sovereignty.
Our Founders saw a conspiracy, wrote of it, and ran the Tories out. What could be more American?
Getting your bailout money in the mail, Patriot?
It’s fascism and no one loses but the honest working people.
Babylon is risen. Wake Up!

P.S. The “palestinians” are led by Roman Catholics (Maronite) so it’s no wonder Paul is against supporting the survivors of Rome’s more recent attempt to exterminate the Jews during WWII (Viz. “A Moral Reckoning,” Goldhagen). He is, after all, serving the Roman Anti-Christ, and doing a very poor job of faking being an American Patriot…like every other undercover papist in Our Land.

Has The American Creed that brought us Liberty and greatness been forgot?
Annuit Coeptis: Divine Providence blesses our endeavors.
Who suspects there’s more than One “Divine Providence?”
The Jews worship the Creator G-d of the Universe…putting the lie to Rome’s pedophiliac Anti-Christ…hence the ritual persecution enhanced by the Industrial and Chemical Revolutions: the Holocaust; and the child buggering Maronites and Muslims impotently shooting phallic rockets hoping the rest of Rome’s anti-Semites like Paul and Carter will come to the “Palast”inians’ rescue. NB: “Palast” was a knight, or baron, under the caesar. The palast’s jurisdiction was his “palace district,” known as the palastine, or palatinate.
The Maronites still want to be under caesar/pope: the Old Sectarian Order of caesaropapism which The Whigs (meaning anti-Roman Catholic) revolted against when we founded The New Secular Order (Novus Ordo Seclorem).
Paul rails against the “secularists,” lying that Our Founders wished America to be “robustly Christian,” to pander to the false religionists and dull/normal crowd. It is a lie and a treason against Our Creed.
Americans, by the Creed, count your blessings: the Enemy is within the Gates.

Spoken a bit like a collectivist sir. Speaking for myself, I still want “more to do” with Rep. Paul. I have read that you parted ways with Rep. Paul on the very issue of his foreign policy. So be it. I think you might find that there are quite a few Libertarians and libertarian Republicans that agree with Rep. Paul and Mr. Jefferson on “entangling alliances” in foreign policy.
I hear William Kristol, Dick Cheney, and President Bush are on your side, however.

Eric Dondero is a joke. The views expressed by Mr. Paul, as pointed out by others, are the same views held by Thomas Jefferson. I suppose Jefferson was part of the “populist left” too? Give me a break.
By the way, Ron Paul favors a strong defense against radical Islam too. It’s a two pronged plan: - Stop giving radicals more and more reasons to attack them - Stop spreading ourselves so thin with troops in 100+ countries, instead use those troops and $$$ on defense (you know, things that actually improve our national security)

“Libertarians” are merely Republicans who wish to come “out of the closet” and/or smoke marijuana. Not bad goals in pursuit of personal freedom of expression and healing but inadequate to annealing the Spirit of the American People.
Bush and Cheney committed 9/11. The Truth is the Truth. Bush’s father and the Roman Catholic CIA killed John Kennedy to send us to die in Vietnam and put the Vatican’s bankers of the Fed back in charge of our money. The Truth is the Truth. Rome is actively promoting illegal immigration as a de facto invasion for conquest of Whig-founded America. The Truth is the Truth.
Jefferson was a Prophet of the Creator and recognized that Rome is “the real Anti-Christ.”
Rome has usurped America.
“Libertarians” are silent on the subject.
Only Obama “sings the Song of America.”
With his lousy golf swing one wonders who he is trying to impress with his golfing.
Bush and Cheney must be tried and fried or the Anti-Christ cancer of Vatican-banker Rockefeller’s CFR/CIA/Roman Catholic Big Oil “pyramid” will continue to metastasize.
The only hope, by G-d, is that the People restore its sovereignty the same way our ancestors did in 1776. Human nature hasn’t changed. Tories: False princes and ravening wolves - are once more at our doors to make us bond slaves to debt and plutocracy in Our Land.

The most consciousless people on the face of the Earth. Israel has been given a spirit of boldness for doing what they need to do by God. The Bible foretold that man cannot do anything to his people as long as His hand in upon them. He allowed the nation to disappear and foretold of its reemergence in the 1940s. Anybody who looks at the history of the middle east farther back than the recent rocket attacks will see that the colonial powers and the US have done everything possible to make the situation worse than it needed to be.
From the oppressive occupation of the holy lands by the British and French following WWI to the direct and indirect support of the formation of the state of Israel in 1948 to the direct delivery of weapons systems and nearly a trillion dollars in foreign aid to Israel, our support of Jew against Arab has been profound and well recognized and publicised in the region.
Our media at the behest of AIPAC and other far too influential foreign lobbying groups keeps americans insulated from the realities of Israeli oppression of the non-jewish peoples living under their yoke.
Hamas is the democratically elected leadership of the people of Gaza, much as Hezbollah was democratically elected. To the US however, only some democracies are allowed, while others are condemned and destroyed.
The people of Gaza have been suffering under a multi-country imposed blockade of food and medicine for months now. Their living circumstances are nothing more than prison like. What we see in these rocket attacks is little more than a prison uprising. These rockets are the best that these people can muster in their attempt to restore autonomy and dignity to their lives. This blockade is in violation of the Geneva convention (as was our blockade and sanctions against Iraq) - and you saw the consequences of that move.
Ron Paul supports the intelligent and American first idea of a non-interventionist foreign policy. Such a policy does not prevent private citizens from sending financial support to any country, etc. but keeps the government and its political and military might out of conflicts that are none of our concern.
Before the state of Israel, the peoples of the middle east figured out how to coexist. Since its founding, Israel has stolen land and displaced millions from their land to places like the Gaza all in an effort to ethnically cleanse the area of all non-jews and to increase its land holdings. Much of this has happened with our financial backing.
The only way that america can ever hope to maintain its integrity as a peace broker and to enhance its security relative to arab terrorists is to completely withdraw its financial and poliical one-sided support for Israel and to force them to work out their problems with their neighbors on their own.
Ron Paul’s stand is courageous and the only position that will ever work to increase our security and moral standing in the world community again.

Real Pat -
Great nations interact economically. Empires interact politically and militarily. We were once a Republic and now we are in decline because we decided in the 20th century to unconstitutionally assume the mantle of empire.
Safe nations keep their political noses out of other people’s business. If god is to protect Israel then let him/her. What business do we have playing god. Are we to be that arrogant? As Ron Paul has correctly pointed out, Israel is more than capable of taking care of themselves.
Revelation could also be interpreted as a warning. Why some of you wish to use it as a playbook is beyond me.

The Book of Revelation makes it perfectly clear that Rome is the Anti-Christ. America’s Founder Thomas Jefferson called it the same yet established Our Nation as “The New Secular Order,” by “Annuit Coeptis,” for all “E Pluribus Unum,” and identified Rome as “an engine for enslaving mankind” supported by “pseudo-aristoi” willing to manipulate government in order to, “booted and spurred” ride the back of the People.

…and of course the “brothers problems”/”aka 9/11” of which you write is the Fifth Column Tory plutocracy that cheated Bush into office to commit treason. We must extirpate the cancer.
“Every society has a right to fix the fundamental principles of its association, and to say to all individuals, that, if they contemplate pursuits beyond the limits of these principles, and involving dangers which the society chooses to avoid, they must go somewhere else for their exercise; that we want no citizens, and still less ephemeral and pseudo-citizens, on such terms. We may exclude them from our territory, as we do persons infected with disease. Such is the situation of our country. We have most abundant resources of happiness within ourselves, which we may enjoy in peace and safety, without permitting a few citizens, infected with the mania of rambling and gambling, to bring danger on the great mass engaged in innocent and safe pursuits at home. In your letter to Fisk, you have fairly stated the alternatives between which we are to choose: 1, licentious commerce and gambling speculations for a few, with eternal war for the many; or, 2, restricted commerce, peace, and steady occupations for all. If any State in the Union will declare that it prefers separation with the first alternative, to a continuance in union without it, I have no hesitation in saying, “let us separate.” I would rather the States should withdraw, which are for unlimited commerce and war, and confederate with those alone which are for peace and agriculture. I know that every nation in Europe would join in sincere amity with the latter, and hold the former at arm’s length, by jealousies, prohibitions, restrictions, vexations and war. No earthly consideration could induce my consent to contract such a debt as England has by her wars for commerce, to reduce our citizens by taxes to such wretchedness, as that laboring sixteen of the twenty-four hours, they are still unable to afford themselves bread, or barely to earn as much oatmeal or potatoes as will keep soul and body together. And all this to feed the avidity of a few millionary merchants, and to keep up one thousand ships of war for the protection of their commercial speculations.” TJ to Crawford 1816
The American People must rid itself of Rome’s Anti-Christ Fifth Column: their treason deserves nothing less than full expropriation, the gallows, or deportation.

To me, and most people, it’s very simple: When Hamas quits firing missles at Israel, Israel will not bother them. Most sane people know Israel will allow the Palestinians to live in peace if they are allowed to live in peace. Not sure where David S gets his history:”Before the state of Israel, the peoples of the middle east figured out how to coexist.” but WRONG. That section of the world has been fighting for a few thoudand years and will always be fighting amonst themselves. All Hamas wants to do is finish what Hitler started. Why will Hamas not let Israel exist. I really wonder what Ron Paul would do if someone told him he had no right to exist; that they would never quit trying to kill him and all his family? What would he want done if some group continously fired rockets at hiom and his family/neighbors? Just ignore it and say to leave them alone and let them continue until he was dead? I think not. He’d want swift action to stop those attackers.

I realize that defending Israel seems to be the popular thing to do, but let’s be honest here. Israel has Gaza in concentraion-camp conditions, whether they are firing rockets or not. A Hamas rocket kills a stray cat and Israel drops a 500 pound bomb on a house full of children. God’s Chosen? Not likely. As far as being our “friends”, they’ve done everything from attack our ships in international waters (USS Liberty) to spy on us and sell our military technology to China. We SHOULD have declared war on them and bombed them flat after the Liberty. While I don’t defend Hamas and their actions, Israel should get no political, monetary or political support from us at all.

As an evangelical believer I belive in praying for the peace of Jerusalem. However, have you read anything on the blowback theory? pretty convincing.
Also, ones religious views should not be confused with ones political affilation. Just b/c Israel is God’s chosen people does not give them to right to blow defenceless countries and treat Palestinians which are human beings made in the Image of God like animals. God punished Israel for their mistakes they are not always right I suggest you spend more time reading the Old Testament.
Futhermore as Christians we should support the law of our the land, the Constitution. No where in the Constitution is the president given the right to wage war w/o the due process required. Which bush has done. Hopefully, Obama will come back to his senses.

No, lets be honest here.
Leave god out of it. Hamas puts up wall paintings of children who have acted as suicide bombers glorifying them.
And Hamas rockets don’t kill a ‘stray cat’ they are totally random weapons of terror. The 500 pound bomb is at least TRYING to hit a legitimate military target.

The most consciousless people on the face of the Earth. Israel has been given a spirit of boldness for doing what they need to do by God. The Bible foretold that man cannot do anything to his people as long as His hand in upon them. He allowed the nation to disappear and foretold of its reemergence in the 1940s. They are the chosen ones, better to be on the winning side in that battle (Read Revelation)! If you are not for Me, then you are against Me. Pray for peace, support our friend and ally we can trust. Ron Paul is irrelevant.
Both the Israelis & Palestinians are terrorist & both deserve our contempt . Neither side really cares about peace or respect . Ron Paul isn’t irrelevant . You are & If there is a god I hope there is a special vault in hell for idiots like you .

The Palestinians can end this by stopping Hamas. Until Hamas stops shooting rockets into Israel, Israel must defend itself.
Look at it this way. If you had a neighbor who harbored a nest of vipers in his back year, if those vipers went out at night and killed other neighbors, threatened your mother and children, how long would it take for you to take action? Me? I would tell that neighbor to clean it up or I would do it for him. If he refused, I would clean it up. If the neighbor stood in the way, if it was the life of my family member or the life of the neighbor, then guess who dies?
The Palestinians can stop the Israeli “invasions” by stopping the rockets. All the power to protect themselves and their families from an Israeli attack is in their own hands. What they can’t do is elect a government that sends rockets into Israel and then claim they are innocent.

As Americans, we support Israel’s right to exist but we also need to support the rights of the Palestinian people. I strongly object to the fact that taxpayer funded U. S. military equipment is being used illegally in this conflict. I am very disturbed that Israel is using weapons supplied by the United States to target Palestinian civilians and civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip in violation of the US Arms Export Control Act and the Geneva Conventions.
By using US-supplied weapons to attack Gaza, Israel is violating the terms of the US Arms Export Control Act and Foreign Assistance Act. The Arms Export Control Act restricts the use of US weapons to legitimate self-defense and internal policing. US weapons cannot be used legally to attack civilians in offensive operations nor can they be used to destroy civilian infrastructure such as power plants and water works. The Foreign Assistance Act prohibits US aid of any kind to a country that routinely harms civilians as a result of its military operations. The aerial bombardment of the densely populated Gaza Strip by U.S-made planes, bombs and missiles is causing large numbers of civilian casualties. The Israeli ground attack using U.S.-made M113 armored personnel carriers and Patton tanks is causing even more civilian casualties. What we are witnessing is ethnic cleansing with our weapons! I urge the President and Congress to act immediately to call for an end to Israel’s military attacks in the Gaza Strip that are being conducted with U.S.-supplied weapons in violation of our laws. The President and Congress must stop all foreign assistance and military equipment exports to Israel until it ceases military attacks outside of its internationally recognized borders. I urge our government to take immediate steps to end this conflict and to work toward a just peace that recognizes both the security of Israel and the rights of the Palestinian people.

Dr Paul, as always. hits the nail on the head. I’ll go further: A highly trained, heavily armed and mechanized country invades a small chaotic semi-state that should probably be a country because of the actions of an unrelated small group of violent crazies. Parallels to the US and Iraq much? Of course the establishment has to back Israel, it’s a microcosm of what we’re currently doing abroad.
You want to stop Hamas rockets from hitting your citizens? build two big F’in walls about rocket range apart, snipers on both walls and call it a border, and here’s the important part: you stay on your side. How many civilians are now dead because of invasive Israeli attacks? Every single one will just be more fuel on the conflagration that is Gaza.

The following is paraphrased from Mads Gilbert, a Norwegian doctor, who arrived in Gaza on New Years Eve [you have to admire his courage and conviction!] to assist Gazan medical workers:
“Of 2500 wounded, 50% are women and children – there was only one military person, all others are civilians. Doing surgery around the clock. There are injuries you do not want to see— children coming in with open abdomens, with injured legs, [on one child] we had to amputate both of them. This is a war on the civilian population of Gaza. It is a very young population. They cannot flee. They are fenced in. They are bombing one and a half million people in a cage.”
The use of high explosives, cluster bombs and white phosphorous in one of the most densely populated areas of the world is an atrocity and a war crime. As a combat medic in Vietnam, I’ve seen firsthand the horrors these devices can do to the human body.
So, children are having their arms and legs blown off, their bellies split open and their guts spilled out and our Congress will not denounce Israel for perpetrating these horrific war crimes nor will it demand that they cease.
What monsters we have become!

Religious mumbo jumbo has caused countless wars over the past few CENTURIES. We as an educated and civil society - we know better - but the powers that be create the Judaeo-Christian vs. all other religions (view point) just as they had us hating communists and socialists. It’s all a sham to keep the masses hyped up and angry @ one another while the wealthy and those in power do as they please. It’s totally wrong for the us, Israel or anyone to launch pre emptive wars against any country. So when someone comes to their wits end and says the hell with it im gonna blow something up - it’s wrong but it’s to be expected. Try googling “Top 5 Lies About Israel’s Assault on Gaza”
Here’s Lie #2: Hamas violated the cease-fire. The Israeli bombardment is a response to Palestinian rocket fire and is designed to end such rocket attacks.
Israel never observed the cease-fire to begin with. From the beginning, it announced a “special security zone” within the Gaza Strip and announced that Palestinians who enter this zone will be fired upon. In other words, Israel announced its intention that Israeli soldiers would shoot at farmers and other individuals attempting to reach their own land in direct violation of not only the cease-fire but international law. Despite shooting incidents, including ones resulting in Palestinians getting injured, Hamas still held to the cease-fire from the time it went into effect on June 19 until Israel effectively ended the truce on November 4 by launching an airstrike into Gaza that killed five and injured several others.”

The problem is discussing Israel as if it were some kind of “global player” or something like that. One might think so given the amount of bandwidth it sucks up on American media and the funding it gets from the U.S. taxpayer. With about 200 or 300 nukes, 7.3 million people, and a population slightly larger than Honduras (or that of a medium-size city in the U.S.), Israel is basically a military dictatorship, a welfare state. It’s a launch pad, a relic of the post-WWII elitists who have been busy with their Etch-a-Sketch. Is keeping this launch pad worth all the trouble? I’d rather we find a way to give the elites real jobs so that they could stop screwing everything up.

The concentration camp that the Gazans are in was created by the Palestinians. They started the war that created the refugees and refused to set up a state (as called for in the UN partition plan). Israel absorbed and uplifted Jews expelled from Muslim countries; their descendants are the majority of Israel’s population. Hamas is not only terrorizing innocent civilians in southern Israel; it is using the Gazans as human shields. It fires rockets from apartment complexes and stores munitions in mosques, hospitals, and schools. It incites its people to hate Jews and trains and equips them to carry out murderous attacks. The world will be safe from Islamist attacks only when we begin to fight back as Israel is doing.

Hamas has to come to the table and speak. It appears their strategy is to place the Palestinian civilians at risk to be martyrs for their undefined cause. The U.S. has supported a peaceful solution to this conflict for many years. But Hamas cannot seem to get their act together. Everyone seems to know what Israel is seeking but no one has any clue what Hamas’ agenda is. If Hamas has something to say, it needs to say it. The U.S. is hoping peace can be achieved. We see how the founding fathers of America reacted. This middle east mess is a direct result of colonialism. Why do Americans expect people to be happy with a situation they themselves would not be happy with? Lets turn the brains on guys…the middle east is simply not America’s fight its just that simple. Israel was founded by the Globalist Elite (note the Rothschild funding of the Knesset building, etc.) meant as a focal point to press the Zionist agenda. Far too many (well meaning) Christians have been hoodwinked into embracing Zionism via false prophets like John Hagee.
After Christ’s death and resurrection Israel was to be called by a new name (Isaiah 62:2). Israel was not to be remembered by her old name (Hosea 2:17); and, the new name was to be the Lord’s Name (II Chronicles 7:14) which would be CHRISTIAN (Christ man) (Acts 11:26; I Peter 4:16).

Trish @ 12:23 PM - Outstanding! Unlike most of the deceived American sheeple, you’re certainly on the right track. A point of clarification though…it is the Globalist Elite’s Central Banking Cartel (CBC) that often funds both sides & thus profiteers from war. This started via Mayer Amschel Rothschild’s creation of the CBC in the late 18th/early 19th century.
Additionally, the same Elite control most of the puppets on “Crapitol sHill” (save for rare patriots like Dr.Paul), and the DNC & GOP “leadership” are essentially two sides of the same coin. The phoney “Left/Right” paradigm is propagated by the various (controlled) “mainstream” media outlets to dupe the populace into the (faulty) belief that they have an actual “choice” (between 2 controlled puppets). It’s indeed a fallacy unto itself!
