Renting some storage space for those dancing feet at the inaugural
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Only this week was it formally declared that the U.S. economy is in recession.
But already we have an example of high consumer confidence.
The Georgia Democratic party is $142,000 in debt, and has $75,059 in cash on hand, according to a financial statement just filed. Even so, last Wednesday, Democrats put $40,000 on some floor space at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.
We’re assuming, of course, that this is related to the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama.
Clearly, someone thinks better times are ahead.

oh well, I didn’t think the Georgia Democratic Party had it together—now I know they don’t have it together. $40,000 for a Party doesn’t get anyone elected. Spending $37,000 for Drew Weston to provide a Party message—guess what? no message. No one has any money to give a Party for a Party! What a waste of contributors money. Georgia Democrats have no governor, lt. governor, secretary of state, public service commissioner, or U.S. Senator. State Party sat on their hands to get Obama the state of Georgia. They are more interested in 2010. They better get that $40,000 back from the Smithsonian and hope it lasts until economy rebounds. However, in 2002 after the election they sent everyone packing. Maybe, they should do that now. Let Jane Kidd go first.

What a waste indeed! What a sham the leadership of Jane Kidd and Matt Weyandt have been. They are in debt, yet have built no infrastructure, lost two incumbents, and in the races that they actually should have won they recruited candidates who got thrown off the ballot. Not to mention all the races they left blank, probably because the political director was busy running for office himself. But just like how they were so excited to go to the convention, they couldn’t even wait to be done with the runoff before planning the state party trip to DC!
Who would keep funding this sorry excuse for a state party?!?! And I’m a Georgia Democrat! Time to clean house!

Bo Chambliss voted for his dad. I know Bo and he would never support some pantywaste liberal like Jim Martin. Martin is going to get spanked tonite. I hear that Republican voter turnout is very high. It was at my polling place.

Jim Martin supports rabid gun control and gay marriage. Think before you vote. Martin does not represent GA Values.

Given Carter’s stellar reputation for incompetance, it is surprising that the Martin folks did not ask for his help. Carter is a disgrace.

Mr. Obama hates Martin. It is that simple. Obama knows that would make a terrible senator. That is why he did not come down here and support that skinny white boy.

Obama should down play his inaugural parties. Since the country is in such terrible shape and he wants to help “the people”- there should be no balls or parties-just the oath taken on the Bible.
