An Alaskan, a judge and a general walk into a bar….

Saxby Chambliss and Jim Martin finally agree on something — the importance of women in Tuesday’s runoff for the U.S. Senate.

In the final hours, both candidates are relying heavily on female surrogates who appeal to the most reliable element of the Georgia electorate.

Today, former Fulton County judge Glenda Hatchett, who now dispenses justice on television, is stumping on a wet and dreary afternoon for Democrat Jim Martin down in Clayton County.

On Monday, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the former GOP nominee for vice president, will make a string of appearances in Georgia on Monday for Chambliss, the Republican incumbent. A list of locations and addresses can be found on the jump, but the final rally is at 4 p.m. in Gwinnett County.

In Savannah, at roughly the same time that Palin holds forth in the same city, the Martin campaign will feature retired Lt. Gen. Claudia Kennedy, former deputy chief of staff for intelligence, at a pair of rallies, one on Johnson Square in the downtown area.

Women voters are far more important to the fortunes of Martin than of Chambliss. In advance voting, as of Wednesday, women had cast 61 percent of the vote among African-Americans. Among white voters, women had only a slight 50.8 percent edge over men.

Bill Clinton drew just 3,000, and Gore 500 at their events for Martin. McCain drew 3,000, Huckabee 2,000, and Romney about 1,000. Gov. Palin’s events will be maximum capacity. The capacity of the areans she’s going to are about 10 to 12,000 each. In other words, she will outdraw all of the others in just one of her events.

All the people that show up are just there for the “celebrity” — they aren’t interested in anything this emptyheaded GOP vagina has to say. A lot will probably show up just to see if Palin is wearing more stolen clothes, pregnant again in all her fundamentalist evangelical “splendor”.

She’s a holy-roller and a joke to the political process.

I think it’s time to return her to where she came from so that we’re never bothered by her narrow-minded ignorance.

Gosh, Pam, don’t hold back! Tell us what you really think about Sarah Palin! Not that I don’t agree.

Hey Pam, What do you know about “Holy Rollers.” Are you a Christian and attend Church. I bet not. I would even bet you are a far-left Democrat who voted for reported Muslim Obama.

Pam, are you saying all the ATTENDEES are empty headed also.

Democrats should be proud. VP John Edwards was such and incredible roll model. He was able to hide an affair, pay her with campaign money, while his wife was dying.

To Menorah;

Obama has never been a Muslim. (who said that he was?)

He is Christian and always has been. The school he went to accepts all religious denominations.

As Senator, he swore on the Bible.

I suggest you check Snopes before spreading any more silly internet rumours.

Sounds like Pam is in the throes of Palin Derangement Syndrome (PDS.) She’s probably one of those women who aborted a perfectly normal fetus because it was inconvienent and thinks Palin is rubbing her nose in it. Or maybe she’s just a twisted old harpie who couldn’t land a man.

Why is it always men talking about abortion? If you are so against it Greg, why don’t you sign up to take care of all of these unwanted children…and it’s a sin to abort but its okay to go to war and kill all of the innocent children and women in Iraq…Let’s face it, Palin is a joke and no illegent person could think otherwise!

I wonder if Sarah Palin can point to the state of Georgia on a map.

Remember Sara…Georgia is a state, not a continent.

Sorry it’s intelligent…I was in such a hurry to respond to Greg and his narrow- mindedness I was careless and Kim it’s role model not roll model

Many Dems, especially you Pam, are part of the abuse triangle: Victim, Perpetrator, and Enabler. You Pam, the Perpetrator, means you have no problem calling someone demeaning names, “emptyheaded GOP vagina”, this is ok in your book. If some Republican did the same, you dems would be all over it shouting prejudice, unfair, and unconstitutional. Palin thinks differently than you, isn’t that what you say you want to protect…the right to be who you are. The enabler in you will defend your statement, then your victimized mind will surely come back with an equally dehumanizing attack. Aren’t you getting dizzy running around the inside of this triangle? Stick to the issues and spare us the personal attacks. You are just showing your behind, shall we say. And by the way gadawg, it IS unfortunate when innocent people get killed in war, but it is not the PURPOSE of war. The PURPOSE of abortion is to kill. And BTW to all of you anti-war people, why don’t you fight for an end to drunk driving, if you feel so sorry for innocently killed people. In 2006, 13,740 people were killed in drunk driving accidents, 1400 of them children. Does that bother you? If so, what are you doing about it?

As an Alaskan I would like to offer Georgia a permanent loan of Sarah Palin. She has already solved all of Alaska’s problems between national speaking engagements. She has all the answers for “whatever ails you.” I know you will show her Southern Hospitality. In Alaska, we don’t like Outsiders telling us how to vote. We call it Northern Hostility. You really should go see her speak, if you get a chance. Tina Fey did not begin to capture her essence that can only be appreciated in person. People who make fun of Southern accents should listen to Sarah. Nobody else in the world has her accent.

Pam: I find it amusing that “womens rights” and “equality” and women “role models” are reserved for the women who are left of center. Gov. Palin is an “emptyminded GOP vagina” and Condelessa Rice (I’m sure I spelled her first name incorrectly for you spelling nazi’s) is an “Aunt Jemima. What, Pam, would be YOUR reaction to being called an “empty headed vagina?” I would imagine you would arise in all your feminsts wrath and flame someone who dared to describe you as such while calling them a blatant sexist among other things. How sad you fail to see the hypocrisy.

Catlady: Nice catch on the Muslim thing although I don’t believe I would characterize Senato,r (President elect), Obama as a Christian. I read his books and at best I think he could be described as an agnostic, but probably more accurately as an atheist. But then I voted for a President, not a pope or in Iman. For those of you who vote for religion, could you refresh me upon which office Jesus held or ran for, and what exactly HIS views on politics were? Or was his kingdom not of this world?

Menorah: I am FAR from a far left Democrat, but I voted for Obama over McCain.

Consider this: Far leftists voted for Obama as they would vote for anyone who ran for the left, far righties voted for McCain, as they would vote for anyone who ran for the Right. There is roughly 30% of each set of you fanatical wingnuts. The true thinking 40% of the electorate, who don’t mindlessly vote for a party, elected Senator Obama over Senator McCain is an overwhelming majority. We have seen the results of the last 8 years and really didn’t want more of the McSame.

It is sad that you two mindless 30% folks can’t get over your bitterness and hate and work together for the good of the COUNTRY instead of for the good of your own ambitions. Hopefully Obama will be of this mindset and can accually do something that no sitting President in recent years has done: accomplish something that is good for AMERICA. All of America, not just the folks that send their money and Companies off shore. 1trillion+ dollars in Iraq and 750 billion dollars to bail out banks pays for a CRAPLOAD of “welfare” that would benefit AMERICANS.

WE HAVE MORE TO DO:

Democrat Jim Martin is in a runoff against Bush Republican Saxby Chambliss for the Senate seat from Georgia. Bush’s Saxby Chambliss voted against spending a few measly dollars to provide health care coverage for Georgia, and Americas needy children. But he supported wasting hundreds of billions of your dollars, and the life BLOOD of Americas finest on an unnecessary war in Iraq.

At a time when 47 million of you have no health insurance coverage, and over 100 million of you with insurance are just one major illness away from complete financial destruction. Bush and Saxby Chambliss voted to make the heart break of bankruptcy relief even harder for all of you to use.

You see, Bush and Saxby Chambliss, and his family don’t have to worry about their health care coverage. They have the finest health care coverage your tax money can buy for them. Courtesy of you. The American Tax payer. In fact, no one but the super rich can afford the health care coverage you the tax payer provide for Saxby Chambliss, and his family for FREE! with your tax dollars.

He supposedly works for you. But he doesn’t think you and your family should have access to the type of taxpayer supported FREE health care that you provide for him, and his loved ones for FREE!. Doesn’t that just make you BURRING MAD!

Vote for JIM MARTIN for US senator from Georgia. Vote for JIM Martin who will be on your side. Vote for JIM MARTIN who will work with President Obama and a majority congress for you. Vote for JIM MARTIN most of all for your-self, your family’s, friends, and loved ones. Vote for JIM MARTIN for a better America, and a better World.

Don’t let Saxby Chambliss make a chump out of you by tricking you into voting against your own best interest. Saxby chambliss is NOT! on your side. He’s not one of you. He is on George Bush’s side. And we all know what a catastrophe the Bush Chambliss administration has been the past 8 years.

Contact all your family and friends and do every thing you can to see to it that JIM MARTIN and GEORGIANS! take that senate seat back for Georgia, and America. No matter where you live in America. This is important to you. President Obama will need all the help, and power you can give him to try and fix this catastrophic mess that the Corrupt Bush Chambliss administration has created.

As I said before you will have to vote in overwhelming numbers to overcome the Bush Chambliss “Let Them Eat Cake” vote fraud machine. Vote early if you can. Then help everyone you can get to the polls and vote for JIM MARTIN. You and your loved ones don’t have to be Saxby Chambliss’s victims anymore.

I know you will get it done. Just like you did for President Obama.

God bless all of you

I’m happily an Enabler and a Perpetrator of “PDS.” Of course your “Palin Derangement Syndrome” is my “Palin Ditz Sneer”…only I’m sure I can come up with far far more appropriate D and S words than those for Sarah Palin.

Abortion, whoop-de-doo. If I drop a load in someone I don’t know you think God insists on beer induced baby batter pumped into a hot piece of lady tush should create another medicaid baby. Please, sex is great, especially between a non-believer and a crazy christian hypocrite. Why doesn’t your all powerful Christian God smite all the evil-doers who pop a cherry. Your religion is a farce, the story is voodoo, or doo-doo, you know nothing about the afterlife so shut up, especially the I speak in tongues crowd. Maybe there is some supernatural higher power, but you cousin screwing, American Idol watching morons, would slam the door on your double-wide if the creator knocked hoping to borrow a coup of sugar. Have a blessed day, Bleah!

Sara drew small crowds and they kept her in small towns when she campaigned especially in Pa and Ohio. Lot of folks came out in curiosity but the two states went blue.

Doesn’t matter how big the arena is—it won’t be filled.

Well golly gee ya’ll. I was just checking out the AJC website to see what the locals had to say about the Martin/Chambliss runoff tomorrow and Palin’s hot air blown today on behalf of the latter. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the smarter folk, the more progressive types, are actually stepping up to the plate and beating back the right-wing fundamentalist core! Bravo Georgia - I’m surprised and proud of you!

* VOTE FOR JIM MARTIN; SAXBY CHAMBLISS IS PART OF THE PROBLEM! *
