A TV ad for Sarah Palin, four years ahead of its time

The first TV ad of the 2012 presidential campaign has hit the airwaves. This from the Anchorage Daily News:

A California-based conservative group that hammered Democratic Sen. Barack Obama during the presidential election is launching a string of commercials this week praising Gov. Sarah Palin.

The group calls itself Our Country Deserves Better, and the ad is designed to counter what it calls attacks by “media elites” on Palin. The group is small, and so is the buy — about $50,000. The ad began airing in Alaska on Monday. You might see it on national cable, but this is likely your best chance.

Says the newspaper:

The Our Country Deserves Better Committee made headlines during the campaign for airing footage of Obama’s controversial former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and holding a multi-state “Stop Obama” bus tour.

The group’s chairman is Howard Kaloogian, a Republican who served in the California State Assembly from 1994 to 2000. Together with [chief strategist Sal] Russo, he worked on the successful 2003 effort to recall Democratic California Gov. Gray Davis.

Makes perfect sense that Palin, sharing Hitler’s and the Hitler Youth gay German pope’s views on a woman’s sovereign rights, while spouting lies in her campaign to support “Married to the Mob” McCain, should be promoted by another documented liar Howard Kaloogian.

So the future voice of the neo-con, right wingers sounds like nails on a chalkboard. I think that is fitting.

And what a ridiculous low-brow ad. Our country does deserve better that Sarah Palin and her ilk.

Hahahaha! Yes, Republicans, please pin your hopes on her. How DARE that elitist b—-h Couric ask her what she reads? Next time, Palin will be ready for that gotcha question with some hard-hitting stuff like: “Purpose-Driven Clothing” and “Eat, Pray, Hunt!”

Maybe the neo-cons can run their ad with Palin and the turkey being beheaded in the background.

Good. Let them throw their money away on a lost cause. Palin (SarahSixPack.com) hasn’t a chance of becoming the party’s presidential nominee…ever. She lacks the intellect to fight off much better qualified GOP contenders and her minutes of fame are thankfully over. She was a flash in the pan who can’t make it on the national stage and who, again, thankfully, delivered the win to Obama. McCain is still shaking his head over his decision to add her to his ticket.

The intro says ‘as a nation we thank you’. DON’T TALK FOR ME! I do not thank Palin for her lies and dishonesty. I hope Palin does run in 2012. 4 more years of a great president.

This ad doesn’t look at all like it was produced in a middle school class. Oh no! Too bad they left out all those shots of her working as Gov. and with her family. I wonder why?

Finally something new to laugh at on Thanksgiving besides those inane parade commentators!

Palin described as articulate may very well be the funniest part of her entire 15 minutes of fame.

If you have to start now advertising a run for the 2012 presidental race..That should tell us all just how much something is grossly WRONG about this individual. She was not prepared now and all the advertisement in the world will not camouflage the fact Sarah Palin is not presidential canidate material, period!!!

Underestimate those who consider her the personification of everything that is wrong with the Republican party at YOUR peril Eliza.

I’m not ignoring her. I’m watching her like a hawk and intend to contribute to her republican primary opponent and, if necessary, democratic opponent in the Alaska governor’s race.

I’m tired of morons being major candidates.

These ads simply reflect what many Americans already think. Sarah saved McCain from disaster, winning him 47% of the popular vote, even though the Dems outspent the GOP two-to-one. She has brains, class and values - all the desperate un-sourced rumours peddled by liberal media can’t change that.

Yeah, the same ‘liberal media’ that gave George W. Bush a free pass for 6 years.

Conservatives are liars. Sarah Palin is an excellent representative for them.

I have to agree with edwards (above), except I’d refer to her as a “flash in the bed pan”, just a flush away from being a mere bad memory. After hearing McCain’s concession speech, I remembered why I had even considered him a possibility in the days B.S. (Before Sarah), a possibility that ended with her arrival. Well I think that Sarah Palin is post turtle. She is sitting on a post now flapping herself for everyone to notice her. The reason she keeps flapping is that she does not know how to get down from her post. The reason she cannot get down is that she did not get up there by herself and needs someone to help her down. McCain needs to go rescue her as is the one who put her up on the post in the first place. 2012 is long time for a post turtle to wait to be rescued!

No thanks from me to Palin - wasn’t a supporter then or now. Nothin about the woman inspired me or my family. She isn’t exactly your ordinary Christian church goer, either. It’s a good thing she likes Alaska and they like her. She would be better off staying there - you know - hunting, killing and gutting those animals, including those Thanksgiving turkeys she so callously allowed be killed while she went on and on endlessly about herself, her family, love of Alaska and whether or not she would or wouldn’t be criticized - what did she think??

I admit I’m confused… is the “Thank you Sarah Palin” video the one that “Our Country Deserves Better” paid $50,000 to run, or… did they pay $50,000 to run the video of her standing in front of Joe the Turkey Killer?

It’s probably the TURKEY one… because the other one makes her look self-serving, the acting is really horrible… you can tell that people in the ad are just “reading” lines, and they aren’t doing it very well, either. I’m SURE no politician would have the poor taste to approve drivel like that.

I am amazed. Whether you love her or hate her, Sarah was asked to be a candidate for Vice President. Even with attacks from the liberal media, she kept her sense of humor and tried harder. I doubt that I would have voted for her but I have one question based on the above comments. Where on earth does all of the anger and hate come from with the liberal left??? They Hate Sarah, the hate Bush, the Hate GOD, they Hate the wealthy(people who have literally worked their butts of to have what they have!) they Hate Christmas etc etc etc.

I have never seen so much fear of one person by the liberal left as I have with Sarah Palin. The real truth is the left is incredibly afraid Sarah Palin will return in 2012 and replace the failed Barack socialist bent. America’s voters will again re arrange congress after four years as with with Bill Clinton. Obama cannot hide his socialist ideals by voting present as he regularly has.

Liberals are terrified of Sarah. They saw how she crushed their messiah. After her brilliant RNC conventiona speech, the one was knocked sideways for 2 weeks. As his poll numbers dropped, he slowly fell apart and finally, in desparation, started calling her names. Poor baby.

I’m sure his therapist could understand his cry for help. So he clung to a security blanket after that: he used a tele-prompter everywhere he went.

Without the worst economic collapse since 1930, he probably would have lost.

I am a Republican and I would like a candidate that the rest of the world doesn’t laugh at. Well er, yeahh er what I really mean is er Its about those darn taxes cause I’m a maverick. .Palin is a Cadaverick.

Palin good= 1) negotiated better oil revenues for Alaska.

Palin Bad = 1) Backed bridge to Nowhere until the cost went higher than what was Federally given. Spent millions on the highway to nowhere. 2) Used same contractors as Ted Stevens to build her house for free. 3) Used state funds to pay for her family’s trips. 4) Used her power or let her husband use her power to try to get state trooper fired. 5) Fought to have rape victims pay for their own rape kit. Look it up! Don’t get all your info from Rush Limbaugh

Wait, now you are saying that she “crushed our Messiah?” The only people who claimed he was a Messiah were Palin worshipers. You know what, she’s not the Second Coming. In fact, she’s an idiot and she gives women a bad name. People voted for her “because she’s hot” and yes, I was told that by her supporters. There is more to being President than being “hot.” She is a hateful, spiteful, mean spirited, ignorant, probably racist, definitely bigoted woman and if that is who you want as a candidate, great because the rest of the country has gotten over being hateful all the time. That’s why Obama crushed Palin. Wait, maybe you said “she” when you meant “he.” That would make what you said make sense.

As usual when it comes to Sarah Palin, the stupid Democrats have a field day, tearing her down every chance they get, even my priest has not so good things to say about her, so I’m quitting the church.— Sarah is the most invigorating person to come on the national political scene, and all these old worn out dinosaurs need to get lost. —Lets get some new blood into the GOP ( the Dems did it ) and we’ll get this country back on track.

WWJD—how can you dislike a person that 4 months ago you probably had barely heard of. Why fear her so much? She’s just one of many that will try and run in 2012 on both sides. Think about how you want to spend your time and emotions for the next 4 years—we should be focusing on saving our economic future and caring for our families, and praying for both men that are currently in charge of our country, and both men that will stepping in come Jan. 20th. Palin was asked to serve as a candidate, she did so, someone had to do it—and now it’s time to focus the more important things that will be happinging to our country.

Conservatives fumbled by not backing Mitt Romney. Neo-Cons have hijacked our once Grand Old Party. Neo-Cons’ shameful liberal spending and fringe evangelical “values” speak to neither small government fiscal responsibility, nor liberty and privacy. And so, we get a half-bright, unqualified Sarah Palin who has bullsh*t detectors going off everytime she tries to bluff her way through a question. It’s an insult to the highest office that a disingenuous dullard even gets consideration. Next time, let’s get it RIGHT…Romney 2012 !

I agree wholeheartedly with Bobbi (11/26 6:40 AM). While we may not have liked Sarah Palin, her personal and world views, why spend anymore time and energy thinking/writing about her? Now is the time to do ALL we can for the national/ world good, supporting those whom we’ve elected to guide our country to create policies for restoration and renewal. We haven’t a moment to waste and need EVERYONE to participate in shifting old paradigms and creating new ones for the work ahead. Remember, WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!
