Freedom watch took the high road, the NRSC chooses the low one, with an attack on Martin

The men and women of PeachPundit have latched on to a pair of anti-Jim Martin ads put up by the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

The one below makes the Democrat in the U.S. Senate race look the most sinister. The topic is the 1989 sales tax increase.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has already joined the race in Georgia, with sponsorship of two anti-Chambliss ads. So far, there’s been no word on the size of any buy associated with this NRSC attack:

Not that there could be any coordination on this — because that would be illegal — but it’s convenient that two outside groups have entered the fray on Chambliss’ behalf at the same time.

The NRSC has taken the low road, with an attack on Martin. Freedom Watch, an independent conservative group, has trekked the high road, building up Chambliss’ credentials on the middle class and the economy.

Saxby has worked hard to get things done for his friends on Wall Street. Yes to rewarding companies that send American jobs to China, India, and other countries. In 2004, Chambliss voted against closing up $39 billion in tax breaks for companies that outsource their jobs. [Vote 90, 5/11/04] In 2005, Chambliss voted against against repealing tax incentives for domestic companies that move their manufacturing plants out of the U.S. [Vote 63, 3/17/05] He even gave those same companies a tax cut. In 2003, Chambliss voted to cut taxes on U.S. companies’ overseas income from 35% to 5.25%. [Vote 165, 5/15/03] Won’t hold U.S. companies accountable if they deal with terrorists. Chambliss even voted against an amendment that makes U.S. businesses liable for dealing with foreign businesses that have links to terrorism. [Vote 203, 7/26/05]

Despite the totally fakey voiceover and silly music, it’s virtually impossible to get Jim Martin to appear the least bit sinister. Wonder how much money the NRSC wasted on that laughably awful number? Boy do I wish I had in on that whole really bad, cheesy ads production racket. They’re all so, uh, 1996. So dial-up era.

The main reason to vote Chambliss is to deny Obama, should he win his bid, a veto proof Senate. Having the Dems in control of the White House, and further gains in the Congress, you do know they currently control congress, would only allow them to further ram their liberal agenda down our throats and put our country on the fast track to Hades. The danger of spreading the wealth around is that you also spread the poverty around. It will all be fair of course, and that is all that counts.

Saxby is a big spending, big government, pro amnesty liberal who sells his vote to the top bidder. He will in no way stand in the way of OBAMA. In fact the company Saxby’s son Bo works for is 1 of Obama’s bigested donars. Martin is actually a Moderate who will work for Georgia not Iowa Corn Farmers like Saxby.

Grunt: So you’re voting for Saxby even though you don’t actually like him?

What a great partisan dupe you are. The GOP is glad to have suckers like you on board.
