Every politician needs a stunt double — shaking all those germ-laden hands can be dangerous

Blogs throughout Georgia are suddenly talking about last Saturday’s Sorghum Parade up in Blairsville, which featured a campaigning state Rep. Charles Jenkins.

Except that it wasn’t Jenkins. The switch was first noted on blairsvillecity.com:

Jenkins was seen at the Sorghum parade before it began but his Explorer was seen leaving. Jenkins’ parade car, however made the rounds with a man of similar appearance perched on the back, waving with a cap pulled low over his face.

InsiderAdvantage extracted the confession. The state lawmaker had ducked out to the Georgia-Tennessee game in Athens:

Jenkins tells us his cousin, Leon Davenport, subbed for him in the parade while he took his son and grandchildren to UGA. The son is a missionary in the West Indies. “He was here with two of his children. I spent some time with them. My cup was full … my cousin said he would ride for me.”

This is not surprising! I live in this joke of a Representatives district and this sounds exactly like something he would do. I have called him twice since he was elected to ask his opinion on an issue. He can’t put a coherent thought together for the life of him. The second time I called, I was asking him about a vote he made just the day before and he had no idea what I was talking about. When I read him the bill number he replied “and how did I vote?” I said, “Representative, you voted no”….his reply…..”well, if you say so, I recon I can’t argue with that.” MY GOODNESS!!! Get this guy out of office!!

What’s outrageous about Jenkins actions is that the Sorghum Festival people announced the impostor as Jenkins. If Jenkins couldn’t be there, that’s fine just don’t pretend that he was.

This is one of the funniest things in a LOOONG time. How out of touch is the guy any way?

Being the typical politician, Jenkins thought that people wouldn’t even know the difference. I don’t blame him for spending time with his family. Just don’t lie about it next time.

Dan Moody’s people are stealing Akhtar Sadiq’s large signs, legally placed on private property with the permission of small business owners who know Mr. Sadiq will be a friend to them in the Georgia Senate. Sadiq is making friends all over the 56th, where people are tired of the same, do-nothing politics under the Gold Dome year after year, and want a man with brains and integrity to represent them for a change.

Local Races Matter, No he’s not. Nor are his “people”! Why? Politicians, and people in general, only do something risky if there is something at stake. There is nothing at stake here because Akhtar Sadiq can win! Just like he didn’t win the last 100 times he ran for office. That race will go 65-35% to Moody in the WORST case scenario. He would save himself a lot of money and time if he would just move to a Democrat area of town and run for a local office. He’s probably made too much of a joke out of himself to even succeed at that. But, at least he would have a CHANCE! I know, I know, you’re saying to yourself right now that “I don’t know what I’m talking about. That the ‘Obama Surge’ is going to change everything & that ‘people’ are sick of Moody and want ‘change”…..not gonna happen! You’ll see in two weeks that I am 100% correct and I hope you think of me on election night!

NoHeIsNot, why then are there six hundred little Dan Moody signs littering every roadside and intersection on the east side of Roswell today? Why isn’t HE saving his money? (BTW, police reports were filed for the thefts.)

In case you slept through civics class as a kid, it’s not Democracy without CHOICE. It’s not even a representative republic unless people have more than one box to check. Perhaps you enjoy the comfort of knowing you never have to think or choose, and just accept the status quo, as told to you by the wealthiest in your community who only serve the interests of a few. Sleep well, “my friend,” for tonight while you dream in monochrome bliss, Moody people will be pulling down Sadiq signs and putting up another nine dozen on the roadsides, but not because they’re worried! Your idyllic little dream world may well be the safest place on earth. Or maybe not. I still have a choice.

Local Races Matter, Did you sleep through the “reading comprehension” part of elementary English? I never said he didn’t have a right to run. I simply said he didn’t have a chance to win. Which he doesn’t! Tell him to run all he wants….it’s good for the economy (signs, reg. fee, advertising, etc.)….but, if he had any sense, he would actually pick a part of town and a race that he could win! I hate to burst your bubble, but, in 2 weeks you’ll see that I’m right. Have fun!

Jenkins is a United Community Bank yoyo. Georgians have no idea how corrupt North Georgia politics really is. Its all about racketeering and stealing tax dollars at every turn. These old bootleggers and dope growers have owned the state treasury as their own little piggybank since Zell Miller got his fat fingers into it.

The entire economic system of North Georgia is based on money laundering and there is one bank holding company that controls it.

Georgians better wake up and soon - and cut the North Georgia Mountains off from any further state funding … if it isn’t too late already.

The parade PA clearly announced that he was NOT in the vehicle. Blairsvillecity.com is nothing but a site devoted to trashing the local establishment and airing dirty laundry about private citizens. They have nothing better to do with their pitiful lives, so they make up false rumors about the local politicians and try to stir up trouble.

Someone should check out Akhtar Sadiq’s background and verify it. Why would he have a physics degree and be an Accountant??? Especially since he says he is a business consultant. I don’t trust this guy one bit. Anyways what kind of a Business Consultant - Accountant is he? I bet you he is a used car salesman!
