Is this really a news story? With the amount of new residents that have moved into the state since last year, the amount of newly registered voters would make since. That is why the number is roughly the same since last year.

The media really needs to start going back to reporting actual news..not trying to sensationalize something that does not exist. Just like CNN reporting that Steve Jobs was seriously ill causing Apple’s stock to plummet.

The AJC needs to look into actual news. This could explain why their subscriptions have dropped continuously over the years. Where is the article about that? We just want unbiased news and if you cannot provide it, there are a lot of other sources that do.

Hey sambo, it sounds like you are not happy about the new registrations. Look, I am unsure what race you are, but this country is in shambles. At least Obama has a plan, and his running mate is seasoned. On the other side, McCain may have what it takes, but his age and health increases the likelyhood of a Palin office. No matter your party, it is obvious that Palin is not ready to assume the VP post, or the top desk. It will take more than good ole common sense to fix the Bush mess. Obama/Biden is the best ticket. This statement is demonstrably false. Black Americans did not vote for Sen. Carol Mosely-Braun (Illinois Democrat running for president), Rev. Sharpon, CEO Herman Cain (Republican for Senate), Lynn Swann (credible candidate for PA Senate). This list is not exhaustive.

I wish this newspaper ran fewer race-based stories, when it is imminently forseeable that these stories will elicit racially polarizing, insulting, unthoughtful comments from people across political/racial spectra. Such comments make me sad about what lurks in the hearts of too many in and about this great city.

Why does everything have to broken down by race in the South. Why can’t the story be about people, just people, going to the polls to vote. Unfortunately, it is the media that brings up race at every twist, turn, and corner.

Who cares about what race people are that goes to vote early. How about many Americans are voting early, and there are many new Americans that have registered? Geez!

As long as the “south is the south,” and the ignorants continue, race will be a factor in absolutely everything that “absolutely” doesn’t matter as long as we’re in the south.

Take Sarah Palin for instance….And if you want to be realistic about it you all are the ones who take a nobody and boost them up to be somebody even though they have no education, experience or even a clue to what is going on in this country. You do the math 5 different colleges just to complete a bachelors degree. If she were in competetion with a black lady who was highly educated you all would still vote for her just because she was white. He held a press conference back in June at the National Press Club to make his ridiculous claims and was arrested on several outstanding warrants at the end of his presentation. I think the last anyone heard of him, he was being led away by police. How unbelievable is Sinclair? Greta van Sustern wouldn’t even put him on Fixed Noise. How low are you for repeating such crap? If you are commenting on voting trends, Blacks traditionaly are one of the Democrats strongest blocks getting anywhere from 85% to 95% of the vote in that segment. Black people are not voting for Barack simply because he is Black but also he is a Democrat and represents most of their ideal. Your argument would only hold true if Black people voted for Black Republicans in the same numbers, they don’t. If I am wrong, give me an example. I can’t think of one.

The Dems. have traditionally supported programs that benefit middle/low income families, support initiatives for assistance in economically impoverished communities. Unfortunately, there are many Blacks that are in or have come from such communities where community organizers get their start. We have the AJC to thank for the sad state of race relations in Atlanta. The AJC thrives on making every issue in the metro area a Black/White issue? While I have come to expect such pathetic journalism from the AJC in general, I must say I am really disappointed to see Jim Galloway stoop to this level. As a result I am finding myself spending more and more time at the websites of the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Marietta Daily Journal for my news updates!

If Obama is elected can I please stop having to work? I am 32 years old and I want to retire on the government dime. All this unfairness has me down and I need to be paid by somebody. I’m going to vote early and for McCain. I don’t trust Obama, I think he is a liar and will say anything to get elected. I’m more concerned about foreign affairs than the economy and McCain has Obama beat on that issue. I don’t think going on a “world tour” qualifies as foreign policy experience.

It amazing, although not surprising, that Georgians can take something as simple as an increase in voter registration and make it about all race. Great job Georgians!!! If you’re teaching your children to view everything in terms of race they will be incredibly handicapped as adults and, ultimately, unable to effectively compete in a multi-cultural society. If there were an election today for “President of the World”, OBAMA would win. Hands Down.

I just returned from vacation in Egypt. Every local person that I spoke to LOVES him. We saw the MASSIVE support he received from Europe and the Middle East including Israel. The Jews spontaneously started to chant his name as Barack Obama prayed at the Holy Wall.

Wake up people, this is a spiritual movement unlike anything we’ve seen. EIGHT IS ENOUGH! The time for change is NOW. We need to send Six-Pack Sarah and John McSane packing - unless we want to see this country run further into the ground with more cronyism, greed, FALSE patiotism and deception fueled by GROSS INCOMPETANCE.

Since blacks don’t vote, wait to see what happens when they learn he can’t do what he’s promising or give them the handouts they’re looking for. One thing they don’t understand - CONGRESS. They make most of the decisions and aren’t going to let a socialist lead us in that direction.

Out of the last 38 sessions of congress, 28 were controlled by the Democrats. More recently, since the 2006 midterm elections where they have been the majority in the House of Representatives and the Democratic caucus (including two independents), constitute a majority in the United States Senate, hold a majority of state governorships, and control a plurality of state legislatures.

So who’s been running what here and have been causing our problems? Or do you not know what Congress does?

Republicans = What can we do for our Country?

Democrats = What can my country do for me?

We have a lesser of two evils to vote for this election but Obama would be much worse for this country given his socialist views.
