A second poll shows McCain slipping in Georgia
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
For the second time in two days, a statewide poll shows Republican John McCain slipping in Georgia as a result of the nation’s fiscal crisis.
This time, the survey comes from a partnership of WSB-TV and InsiderAdvantage/Poll Position. To be precise, the poll puts McCain at 50 percent and Democrat Barack Obama at 44 percent. Margin of error is plus-or-minus 4 percent.
Two percent prefer “other” candidates — not good news for Bob Barr, the Libertarian. And 4 percent are undecided.
On Tuesday, a SurveyUSA poll backed by two TV stations, WXIA in Atlanta and WMAZ in Macon, showed a similar drop in McCain’s fortunes, with the Republican at 52 percent and Obama at 44 percent. Margin of error was plus-or-minus 3.8 percent.
InsiderAdvantage/Poll Position had McCain up by 18 points three weeks ago. SurveyUSA had the Republican up by 16 points two weeks ago.
In a hardcore Republican state like Georgia, a McCain recovery is well within the reach of possibility, even probable — despite the first signs of an Obama surge here. But if he’s falling this far, this fast in Georgia, then McCain has other, larger worries elsewhere in the country.
If he schedules a campaign stop here, you McCain supporters have cause to worry.

Couric: Besides Roe v. Wade, can you name a Supreme Court Case?
Palin: blink blink…. silence
America: Do we want this broad to be leader of the free world when McCain kicks the McBucket? We might have a few shooters with her on Saturday night, sure, but do we want her appointing SC justices or negotiating with foreign heads of state? What ELSE will McCain decide with no forethought whatsoever?

I’ can’t get excited about any of these candidates. A 72 year old with a housewife from Alaska as V.P.. A inexperienced senator who has ties to America haters. And gives speeches at Farakon assemblys. The black clu-clux-clan? God help this country.

Anyone who votes for McCain needs to have their head examined. Wait until tomorrow night and Palin’s big TV debate. Get ready for a Tsunami. The ONLY thing that Biden needs to be careful of is saying something really stupid or condescending.

Obama is a sleeper Muslim, and a lying flip flopper. It is rumored that Obama had a gay sex affair with a limo driver in Chicago in 1999. There is no way this country elects a fraud like Obama.

I hear people say they are not voting; other say they are not voting for a black man; and other say we have no real good choices in this election.
I don’t understand why anyone would give up their right to vote; won’t vote for a black man even if he is a better candidate. Voting is your given right, thousands and thousands have died to preserve that right…I personally think we should be required to vote. People not voting should be penalized. After all, I have lost loved ones as you have who died to preserve our freedoms…anyone who sits at home and doesn’t vote in this election has not right to complain once its over and they sure have no right to express any opinion in what the winner does as President.
If you can’t vote…keep your mouth shut and God help you. God Bless America.

Someone here calling a decorated USMC combat Vet an “America hater?”
Rev. Jeremiah Wright is reading straight out of the Book of Isaiah.
Any who can’t see that the Roman Anti-Christ Fifth Column traitors who built Big Oil on unredressed murder and arson; then the unconstitutional Fed - whose whirlwind we may be reaping now; then financed Hitler and the Holocaust for profit and papacy; then killed John and Martin to keep us in their fiefdom of Vietnam; then IranContra to shore up their failing slave masters in Latin America; then the S&L Bailout to give a half trillion to fascist plutocracy and Organized Crime; then Waco to silence the Black and White Adventists telling the truth on Rome; then the Murrah Fed’l Bldg bombing to push back the People; then cheating Hitler’s banker’s closet-queen draft-dodging grandson into the White House because his father had yet to be brought to justice for 11/22/63; and then committing 9/11 and lying to us of WMD to get us dead restarting the Afghan heroin trade and stealing Iraqi oil, protecting the Saudis from secular Arabs.
Who here has the temerity to say he loves “America” and not see Babylon at her helm?

The junior senator from Illinois - if elected - won’t get away with just saying “present” during a crucial vote. He and his backers say judgment is more important than experience. But where does judgment come from? Experience, perhaps? Or maybe intuition? Divine inspiration? While I am dismayed by McCain’s pandering to the religious right, Obama’s complete and utter lack of a clue about anything other than how to give a great speech is frightening. Obama has talked about working together, then savages the GOP in his coronation, I mean, acceptance speech. Talk to GOP senators. Ask them who’d they rather work with. They’ll say Hillary in a heartbeat. Obama? He and his staff act as if the Republican senators don’t even exist. Besides, the man hasn’t even so much as chaired a committee in his less than four years in the Senate. At least McCain worked with Dem senator for a truly landmark bill (McCain-Feingold), though it’s a bad piece of legislation. Pelosi, Reid, Obama and Biden can point fingers and slam the GOP all day — but who were the ones who pushed for the subprime loans that have us in this fix in the first place? Who has run up the deficit and failed to pass any decent legislation? Who didn’t get nearly 90 members of their own party in the majority to back a bailout package? Granted, Bush, Denny Hastert, et al, let the GOP run wild for far too long, be it reckless, unchecked spending (Bush found the veto pen before WMDs were located. Who knew?) or preying on interns (Mark Foley). McCain ain’t perfect, but compared to the empty suit that Obama is, the all sizzle and no steak, I’ll take the fighter jock any day.

Anyone who votes foe Obama might as well sign the title over to China, ‘cause we’ll be broke.
Who pushed through lending laws that offered mortgages to people who couldn’t afford to pay ‘em? Democrats.
Who took the most money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Democrats. Obama ranks 3rd in money received. Y’all can figure out the others (Hint: top leader has the same last name as Tech’s last NCAA champion football coach).
Whose VP candidate said he was sure that Roosevelt announced the Great Depression on TV? Democrats. What’s wrong with this picture? 1). Hoover was president in 1929, the year of the stock market crash. 2). TV wasn’t invented until 1939. But hey, at least the last number of the year was right, yes?
The brother of which VP candidate is being investigated for bribery and embezzlement? Democrats.
Which party would rather spend $700 billion on highway robbing groups like ACORN, tax increases and earmarks and, oh yeah, something about a market crisis? Yup. You guessed it. Democrats.
Lots of this could’ve been prevented. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac warned us in 2004-2005. But which party decided in 2006 that there was nothing wrong with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae? Democrats. Legislation was on the floor, people. A simple fix. But Republicans were being racist, because there’s no way a black man who rose to such high levels as to be CEO of these fine institutions could ever mismanage such a big outfit. Seems to me, BTW, that the only party that even mentioned he was black was the Democrat party.
Fixing the mark-to-market situation (look it up, if you haven’t drank too much Kool-Aid and you can pare yourself away from your MSNBC and YouTube) could alleviate a lot of these current troubles. Could’ve saved Bear Stearns, Merrill Lynch, AIG, WaMu, Wachovia, ad nauseum. The SEC can do it. The laws’ll let ‘em. Congress can do it. The laws’ll let ‘em.
But who would rather spend $700 billion OF YOUR MONEY on cheesy special interest groups and Wall Street Fat Cats, and not give you a damn - er, dime?
Democrats.
These are not Sam Nunn’s Democrats. No, these are much different critters. Y’all would rather vote for a well-spoken skinny lawyer who takes a position on nothing than vote for a man who took repeated beatings for his country and walked away from the experience with an even greater desire to serve his country.
“Show me a picture, and I’ll give you a war.” William Randolph Hearst said that, and a few weeks later, a picture of an exploded battle ship flashed on the front page of every newspaper he owned, with the headline REMEMBER THE MAINE! The media started the Spanish-American War.
Now, it’s helping to elect a man that will bankrupt this country. And the only reason that they can get away with it is because y’all - YOU - can’t be troubled to look up something for yourself.
So, elect Obama. You mush-brained turd eaters will get what you deserve. Karma is a boomerang.

Obama came out four-square against the false war Bush’s fellow draft-dodging closet-queen, Gay Old Perverts, in Congress bought.
Any who think we have any moral authority looting our own Treasury, committing that atrocity shedding innocent blood with the needlessly sacrificed lives of 4,200 G.I.’s…without a doctor’s letter acknowledging your sub-70 I.Q., or like McCain, married to the Mob trying to compensate for being an extremely short military failure with short drunks for father and grandfather, needs to peek back in the Good Book or take Ethics 101 at a community college night course.
Right is right, and wrong is wrong, by G-d.
A righteous man cannot lie on someone and kill them and not be damned before the Almighty.
America need not be brought low or down following such scum.
Bush committed 9/11 killing 3,000 and lied us into false war for heroin, oil, the Saudis and a corrupt faction of false Jews misleading the State of Israel just as the Roman Anti-Christ is hornswoggling any partly decent American who isn’t pure trailer trash that would think for a second of elevating such a staunch lying hypocrite and false prophet as Sarah Palin.
Obama had the stones and the constituency to come out and point his finger at the treason of Bush’s false war. That points toward the notion of righteousness on his part when Nazis on our streets draped in the flag were physically attacking a peaceful America-loving Vet trying to get out the true word.

Anyone who thinks Obama is a closet Muslim is too far gone to deal with the facts. Ditto conspiracy theorists who think Bush had something to do with 9/11 other than being asleep at the switch. Independent voters are moving to Obama and he will win the election. Political pros will study his campaign and learn that he did it in a new and better way than the old style deal-making of both Dems and Repubs. Open minded conservatives who are skeptical of his character and think he is just a tax and spend liberal will be pleasantly surprised to find that he is a pragmatic centrist with middle of the road All-American values. You read it here first.

Perhaps the illustrious “Morpheus” family has inculcated in the good “Dr.” an appreciation for knowledge and wisdom…not demonstrated here.
For $11 or a library card she/he can read “The New Pearl Harbor,” by a named expert, Emeritus Professor David Ray Griffin, PhD.
Just because Senator Obama has the political sense not to get himself shot the way JFK did for ordering us out of Vietnam and working to destroy the Roman Catholic CIA which killed him under Nixon and Bush1, doesn’t mean eighty percent of us and the entire rest of the world doesn’t have the G-d-given common sense to know when the only three skyscrapers in history fell from “fire” and a 125’ wide Boeing 757 “evaporated” on the Pentagon’s pristine lawn, something was fishy.
Your anonymous denial of proven facts by an established scholar of unimpeached reputation may help your little fantasy agenda, but not American Truth or Justice.

The facts are: a candidate raised by Mid-western, lower/middle income folk who valued hard work and education, an ‘Ivy League’ Constitutional Law attorney, state senator, currently in the Senate serving on two Foreign Affairs committees, co-author of the most comprehensive ethics reform bill in 50 years, co-author of legislation to protect our troops when they return home & ensure medical care and less paperwork, a person who worked while in school and had student loans until a few years ago when his books sold well—in other words, a ‘regular guy’ that has focus, purpose, and a moral compass that led him to work for the greater good as a community organizer.
When you choose someone to fix anything broken, doesn’t it make sense to choose the person that knows how it’s supposed to work? For you people that are still ‘lunching’, that person is Senator Obama.

Hey bitter, I know that you think “nobama” is a clever campaign ploy, but it’s a symptom of what’s wrong with the GOP approach this time around. Americans R all on the same learning curve about campaign slogans, and catchy phrases, and yes, a good one can win some votes.
But Americans are more sophisticated now. Anger and fear does that. Like in war, you learn quick. Anyway, “nobama” is considered trite and sways voters “osama’s” way.
Nobama. Osama. Both were viewed by voters as pathetic attempts to discredit a candidate, and tipped the balance hussein’s islamic radical way.
In other words, “I read all the magazines. Which ones? Oh all of them, you know whatever comes across my desk, I read it. Which specific magazine? Can I name just one foreign policy magazine that I read so that I can prove to America that I didn’t just lie to Katie Courik about reading foreign policy magazines….?”
That answer also sways voters Osama Hussein Al KaKa Gay Men’s Choir’s way.

You are one, sick puppy. Is there no bottom to the depths you nut jobs will go to kill an Obama campaign?
The facts are real clear: Republicans ran Congress for 12 of tha past 14 years and occupied the Whitehouse for the last 8 years. Who’s to blame for the current economic mess were in? Democrats? Get real!!
I hope every one of you Republicans who have supported Bush and his group of gangsters really took a financial a* whipping this past Monday. In fact, I hope you’ll also feel a real pinch if the company or businesses you work for can’t find the capital to pay your wages. Then you’ll feel what the other 6 million Americans who’ve found themselves out of work in the past 2 years felt when they couldn’t make their mortgage payments or buy food for their families. Capitalism can only work with capital. Bush and his crowd have made sure that the very rich in this country have continued to enrich themselves at the expense of the middle-class. You right-wingers talk about re-distributiion of the wealth. Apparently that’s okay with you if the re-distribution goes from the middle-class to the ridiculously rich. If you’re not aware that that’s happening, spend less time listening to Rush and Sean, and start doing a little research.
A pox on your house.

Keep your paragraphs short please, it helps readability…also, if all you’re going to do is call people Nazis or communists, just hush up.
I’m afraid McCain’s team has blown this one. Really a lot of time left, and the candidate seems to have a great instinct for taking control of the agenda and resorting everything at any moment, so it’s hard to despair - I wonder, if these college students and vagrants that are being trucked in to vote, cast multiple ballots, do they all get negated?
(This is the point where some silly Dem defends cheating, because it’s “fair”. Follow the rules, dude.)
Man, the Dems on this board are a bunch of angry vindictive son of a guns! Must have experienced a lot of failure in their lives to be that bitter…I’m very sorry it hurts to have to think for yourself, but some of us would rather not turn control of our lives over to the Federal Government.
And you right wing nuts are no better. Look, Obama is not a Manchurian Candidate - he’s just Wm Jennings Bryan reincarnated (boy orator of the platte - look it up). A bit too “government by advisory committee” for my taste - not enough intuitive thinking going to help with quick decision making. Very clear in the first debate. However, at least he’s not HRC - she would have been a disaster. Want her as far away from the White House as possible.
The left hasn’t had a president they’ve really aligned with since Carter - and they didn’t really trust him since he was Sou. Baptist. It’s OK if they get another shot now. Jindal in ‘12…

So THE GREAT OBAMA is the answer? Is this the same Obama who voted against the “Born Alive Infant Protection Act”. Hmmm, so THE GREAT OBAMA would take a living, breathing baby and allow him/her to literally suffocate because their lungs are not developed, offering no medical help or attention? Excuse me, but isnt this the same bs reason that many states no longer have the death penalty, because the shot causes “undo pain and sufferin”? So a convicted murdered has more rights than an unborn child who could live with assistance and then be adopted? Thank God (oh, excuse me, THE GREAT OBOMA doesn’t believe in HIM either) that we have someone with the great morals to take these living, breathing babies and allowing them to die. Way to go BARRY!!!

Any who think “Nazi” is an empty epithet in America should read “A Moral Reckoning,” by Daniel Jonah Goldhagen to discover a pristine proof that “two popes and the Roman Catholic Church are morally, legally, and ethically culpable of the Holocaust.”
Then research Operation Ratline to discover how the Knight of Malta-led Roman Catholic CIA escorted 30,000 Nazi SS officers, away from Nuremberg, through the Vatican’s “basement” to Latin America and into our “intelligence” community.
What “element” in our society has protected Rome and its agents in Our Country from justice? Who promoted the specious notion that Germany, the seat of scholarship in the world until the early 1900’s, was “tricked” into its crimes against humanity by a “madman?”
Read “Mein Kampf” to know Hitler’s “motivation.” He was an advocate for Rome’s ancient titled aristocracy, known in Europe as the Black Aristocracy…the families descended of caesars and popes living in the same castles on the same hills, with the same family crests for two and three thousand years.
America’s Founder called it the Anti-Christ.
Raise your hand if you think you’re smarter than Thomas Jefferson.
Rockefeller, key in Rome’s Fifth Column, was the Vatican’s correspondent bank funneling money to the author of “I Paid Hitler,” papal baron and Knight of Malta Fritz Thyssen, through Prescott Bush, also a member of the Vatican-running Knights of Malta. Bushes have fronted for Rockefellers since Standard Oil was built on unredressed murder and arson.
Having ordered or condoned the assassination of John Kennedy for his military withdrawal order, NSAM263, when only 120 of us, “mercenaries” for the most part, had died in Vietnam, to send 58,000 of us to die for the five percent Roman Catholics who owned 95% of its wealth, do you think for a moment finance of Nazis in Germany (Thyssen was known in Europe as the “Rockefeller of Germany”) doesn’t make them Nazis here?
Do you have a better term to describe the traitors, sons and grandsons of the Fifth Column which financed Hitler from here, now supporting Bush/Cheney’s committing 9/11…the Reichstag Fire-redux?
If you disapprove of the term “Nazi” try better to understand yourself. It’s your consciousness, intelligence, and/or creedal loyalty, not language, troubling you.
Bush is a Nazi as was his father, JFK’s assassin, and his grandfather, Hitler’s banker. Those who support him are Nazis, Nazi sympathizers, or profound morons.

I am so fortunate to live in the Pacific NW. At the very least, the people here are educated about the various choices in the Presidential election. Judging from the comments here, I can’t say the same is true in Dixie. Must have something to do with your history of racism and segregation. It’s time for you people to join the 21st century. Put down those bibles and pick up the US Constitution to see what this country truly stands for. It’s not the separation and hate that so frequently seems to define the American south.
