Isakson, Price and Linder make ‘50 richest in Congress’ list

U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson and U.S. Reps. Tom Price and John Linder have made Roll Call’s list of 50 richest members of Congress.

Isakson, worth $8.2 million, came in at No. 38, behind the likes of Teddy Kennedy, the Massachusetts Democrat. That state’s other senator, John Kerry, topped the list compiled by the D.C. newspaper.

According to Roll Call:

Isakson reports a stable fortune, increasing his net worth less than 2 percent over his 2006 values….

The lawmaker’s assets include a mix of real estate and stocks, including Synovus, a financial services company. Isakson lists an investment of $1 million to $5 million in the company.

Price, a resident of Roswell, came in at No. 42. He’s worth $6.99 million. Despite the downturn, and with much of his money invested in annuities, Price has had a good year.

“The Georgia lawmaker’s net worth increased nearly 15 percent, or about $1 million, in the past year,” the newspaper said.

Linder, who hails from Duluth, is worth $5.67 million. He had a capital gain of more than $5 million from his 2007 sale of holdings in Grayling Industries, Roll Call reported.

All that said, the newspaper’s piece opened with this warning:

Everything that you are about to read might be wrong.

Roll Call’s annual attempt to rank the riches of Members of Congress is hampered by one fundamental flaw: It is based on the lawmakers’ financial disclosure forms, which are extraordinarily unreliable sources of information.

I wrote to Dr. Price last night to remind him that his JOB responsibility is to his taxpaying constituents, not his rich friends who are asking for (more of) our money (and whatever we can borrow with interest from the Chinese) with no strings attached. If some measure of “bail out” is necessary, it should come only with lots of constrictive and restrictive strings and oversight. These people have already demostrated they cannot be trusted to remain unsupervised!

Please write to your representatives TODAY to remind them that putting “GOP power and rich people first” is not in their job descriptions, for which they collect handsome paychecks and lifetime health benefits in addition to ensuring their own “good years.” Thanks!

I also wrote to Price and commented on how he has a posting on his website about the budget being bloated! How in God’s name will he pay for this which effectively doubles the deficit overnight. Bernanke saying we’ll get our money back is laughable. If that were true the banks wouldn’t sell them for a loss.

How much were Price and LInder worth when they went onto our payroll? LBJ showed up in D.C. worth under a hundred dollars, never worked for anybody but the Federal Gov’t and died worth $30 million…he was a criminal. Price and Linder have been supporting, to one extent or “another,” the closet-queen draft-dodging traitors of the Bush faction who committed 9/11…now we hear they’re into big money, too.

Are they also crooks in addition to being stupid and no Georgians? They’re certainly not patriots.

I never got a job from a poor man. Good for them. Why does the left hate successful people in this country?

The left has no hatred for successful people. Instead, the left thinks it’s important for people served to represent us should reflect our own circumstances. The left wants our representatives to care about their constituents and serve our interests, rather than their fellows rolling in money.

By don't think so.

America, by the Creed, E Pluribus Unum, is a “left” country. The People, made up of the Indivduals, is sovereign over the government. Any, who by charter submit to state protection to limit liability as a “Corporaton,” a legal fiction, to serve the People better, are subservient to the People and must be severely checked for their “errors” and crimes against us…not sustained by welfare fascism by bribing corrupt public officials who’ve gotten rich while on the taxpayers’ dime.

We, the People, rule this land. Any who say otherwise serve fascist plutocracy and the traitors and racists who comprise its Fifth Column for the Anti-Christ America’s Founder pointed out.

“Funny” how the ones who feign ignorance and want the People to bow to the monetarily rich…to grovel for a “dispensed” job, no matter what crimes the employer committed, can’t seem to see the signs and proof of “right” wing fascism all around us.

Tories need to have the same attitude adjustment we provided them in 1776 with a rope and a Tory Oak after Bush and Cheney are tried and fried.

Owners Equity = Assets - Liabilities

We, the People, own America lock stock and barrel.

Fascist are selling off our assets to themselves and foreigners to destroy the American Middle Class, the Working Class, which is the sovereign People.

We are the Armed Forces, less the illegals and greencard mercenaries the Roman Catholic generals are placing in the ranks.

Treason is a liability the People cannot ever afford.

Bush and Cheney committed 9/11 and Justice must be done to them, for us and our posterity, that the Dream may live.

A free American is second to none regardless of faux rank or money. A free American, a true American, by Creed and Right is second to only the Creator.

Those who attempt to elevate over us money, celebrity, title, station or rank are ignorant, treasonous, and no American.

Truth and Righteousness shall prevail in America once more. Our Whig Founders were correct, this is the Land of Promise…and Rome - the “right wing,” and center of Fascism/caesaropapism, is the real Anti-Christ now trying to destroy Our Nation.

Death for Treason.

Well, this isn’t very surprising… and not particularly an outrage, given how we’ve accepted the state of affairs.

“Only rich people can run for office” is our democratic principle, and nobody questions it.

Is Isaackson still a Senator, and if he is, does he ever do anything but get richer and richer. What a zero!!! What a waste of our money having him around.
