Martin aims a second ad at the middle class
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Jim Martin, the Democratic candidate for Senate, has another ad in the works.
His campaign hasn’t said yet whether the spot will be on TV — Martin’s financial resources are limited — but it was posted on YouTube early this morning. You’ll see that it has a heavy middle class focus.
Click on the box below:
Says Martin:
“I don’t have to tell you the middle class is hurting in Georgia. I won’t insult your intelligence. But apparently we do have to tell Saxby Chambliss.
“We need to reverse the George Bush economic policies that Saxby’s been voting for all these years, crack down on the Wall Street oil speculators, stop the wasteful spending, and we can’t afford to continue spending $10 billion a month in Iraq.
“I approved this message because Saxby won’t do that in the Senate. But I will.”
Martin makes one off-note reference to oil that most people are unlikely to notice.
The economy may be going to hell, and a post-Ike panic may be sending gas prices to $4.50 a gallon, but the price of oil dropped to a seven-month low today, selling for $96 a barrel.

This clown doesn’t have a Chinaman’s chance of beating Chambliss.
And you all know it. Quit wasting time with this. Why cant you blog about something important, like how Sarah Palin thinks that if she can see a country, then she can pack her foreign policy resume with it. Well, I see England. I see France. I see her underaged, unmarried, undersexeducated daughter’s underpants.

Georgia’s senior senator is still dogged for his support of a controversial immigration bill that would have opened the door to citizenship for millions of illegal aliens. And who doesn’t remember him posing for photos with liberal icon Ted Kennedy to show his support for the bill? Of course, he later backed away from the measure, but the damage was done. His credibility never would be the same among the anti-immigration crowd.
Then there’s Chambliss’ son, who has been a lobbyist for the commodities trading industry at a time when Dad happened to be chairman or ranking member of the Senate Agriculture Committee - the committee with jurisdiction over commodities trading.
Chambliss is one of the few statewide elected officials in America who still is willingly joined at the hip to President Bush. Even in Georgia, Bush now has hit bottom in his approval rating.
Despite his unfailingly loyal service to the Bush administration, Chambliss has little bacon to show for his efforts. Georgia lost multiple military installations during the last round of base closings, which occurred on his watch. We appear likely to fail in efforts to land several major federal projects, including the national biodefense facility the University of Georgia has pursued doggedly

Churchill,
Do you think that Martin wouldn’t be on the pro-amnesty side of the immigration argument? There is a D behind his name right? Chambliss was not for the McCain-Kennedy immigration bill that went down to flames in ‘06.

Georgians, Don’t forget that Saxby was a Chairman for one of the congressional Judicial subcommittes. Judicial Chairmanship is the most sought after position in Congress because that one position controls all the legislation that goes b4 congress. Saxby was the Chairman for the Jusicial subcommittee for Immigration, Citizenship and Border Protection. Saxby was the root cause for the mess we are in with regard to criminal aliens in not only Georgia but the entire US of A. He has to go!!
