There’s the myth, and then there are the statistics

Over at InsiderAdvantage this morning, Dick Pettys explores a declaration that Secretary of State Karen Handel made last week in St. Paul during the Republican National Convention.

The topic was the alleged surge of new, Barack Obama-driven voters in Georgia. “It’s a myth, y’all,” Handel said.

Writes Pettys:

Statistics on her web site show that between January and August of this year, black voter registration rose by 149,840 (from 1,226,426 to 1,376,266 - an increase of 12.2%).

During the same time period, white voter registration increased by 159,650 (from 2,967,199 to 3,126,840 - an increase of 5.38%).

That’s 309,490 newly-registered voters during the time period, 51.5 percent of them white and 48.4 percent of them black.

Whatever it is - or is not - it’s different from what was happening four years ago.

Was she lying or does she not know what is happening in her own area?

When Handel first burst onto Georgia’s political stage a lot of us thought she was a breath of fresh air and a rising star. Her performance as Chair of Fulton County Commission help propel her into the Secretary of State’s office. However, her moves since assuming leadership of that office leaves a lot to be desired. Limited training, experience, and vision explain it all. Georgia voters may be ignorant but they ain’t stupid.

Voter registration is one thing and turnout is another. The challenge before the Republicans is can they energize their base? Because of poor performance in Georgia and nationally and the pain of current economic times, the Republican base is lathargical. Will the initial fluff of Palin’s addition to the ticket be sustained enough do the trick? A roll out of the facts regarding Palin’s performance as mayor and Governor will contradict the assertions made in her grand speech at the convention.

Sounds like this statement is a CYA by someone about to pull a Katharine Harris. The more they get away with it, the more Secs of States will try it. Why not? Everybody knows Georgia’s full of dumbs—ts who don’t know any better.

Karen Handel is a bald-faced liar who will say anything she believes will help her and Republicans win an election. “It’s a myth, y’all” —- let that be a ringing reminder of how poor Karen Handel’s judgment is once she tries to run for governor.

Whether it’s true or not, how is stating, “It’s a myth, y’all” supposed to help Republicans win elections. It doesn’t sound like the kind of statement that sends the GOP running to the polls, it seems more likely to lull them asleep.

Perhaps it’s a conspiracy.

A GOP Roman Catholic Fifth Column hack, Handel is a failed woman operative/”carpetbagger” from Maryland, via Bush/Quayle, supporting the treasonous faction’s Georgia-branch turncoats which committed 9/11 to send us to false war, and…as proven by the cited statistics…is flat-out lying on their behalf. So, too, are pollsters, serving that same false-elite, who are softening up The People, with bogus polls, to accept a third stolen presidential “election” saying the race is even close: trying to elevate an adulterous martial incompetent, raised on Capitol Hill by Catholics, now married to the Mob; and a whitetrash lying hypocrite from Alaska.

“Every society has a right to fix the fundamental principles of its association, and to say to all individuals, that, if they contemplate pursuits beyond the limits of these principles, and involving dangers which the society chooses to avoid, they must go somewhere else for their exercise; that we want no citizens, and still less ephemeral and pseudo-citizens, on such terms. We may exclude them from our territory, as we do persons infected with disease. Such is the situation of our country. We have most abundant resources of happiness within ourselves, which we may enjoy in peace and safety, without permitting a few citizens, infected with the mania of rambling and gambling, to bring danger on the great mass engaged in innocent and safe pursuits at home. In your letter to Fisk, you have fairly stated the alternatives between which we are to choose; *1, licentious commerce and gambling speculations for a few, with eternal war for the many; or, 2, restricted commerce, peace, and steady occupations for all. * If any State in the Union will declare that it prefers separation with the first alternative, to a continuance in union without it, I have no hesitation in saying, “let us separate.” I would rather the States should withdraw, which are for unlimited commerce and war, and confederate with those alone which are for peace and agriculture.”

Thomas Jefferson to Wm H. Crawford 20 June 1816

Thomas Jefferson, America’s Author and Founder is a proven anointed Prophet. Americans will ignore him at our peril.

We now have cheated into the White House, by only the Roman Catholic votes on the Supreme Court, a homosexual draft-dodger whose father killed Kennedy and King and whose grandfather was Hitler’s banker. They have profited from their crimes because they are fronts for the Roman Fifth Column led by the Rockefeller Pyramid, built on the creation of BIG OIL through unredressed murder and arson in 1870’s Cleveland, now ensconced in the patently unconstitutional Federal Reserve Bank. The Fed is an unsustainable and economically corrupt “house of cards” enslaving future generations of Americans to debt which must be repudiated now.

The Truth and the Creator - Annuit Coeptis - which inspired Our Founders, is knowable.

Our service men and women, under the Oath, are dying for lies of traitors. Justice must be served: Death for Treason.

Obama is only a small step in the right direction.

Umm, Will? You might try a tin-foil hat to help keep the noises out.

I’m with RJ on this one: I liked Handel when she was sticking to her guns and a RINO. Now she’s a full-fledged Republican party hack, because her ambitions are overtaking her judgement. We’re all the worse off for this.

Hey SouthPaw,

The day I run from a Redumblican THING is the day I die.

So putting down Obama is fun and games but putting down Palin is ‘scared’?

Yeah I’m scared because I see Hockey Mask Mom as a sociopath that shoots wolves from helicopters.

I’m scared because you idiots believe ANYTHING YOU ARE TOLD.

I’m scared that all I have to do is repeat something over and over again until you believe it.

Because that’s the way you Redumblicans work. If I say I’m a redumblican and repeat it over and over again, you believe it because another Redumblican told it to you.

i’m sorry, but Turkey’s are so dumb that when its raining they look up and drown.

Human beings don’t just believe whatever you shovel them…it isn’t human beings that lack all rational thought.

Its Redumblicans.

Which is quite frankly an insult to animals.

Obama is up 200 million magical poll numbers against McCain because I shouted it and my good friend Mr. Backchannel email told me so.

And its Bush’s fault that WackoliberalMorph has the IQ of a piece of Oatmeal.

Gosh, I seem scary reducing Conservatives to dehumanized irrational lunatics don’t I?

What the hell do you think Conservatives have been doing to ‘liberals’ for the last 30 years? Do you just expect us to sit here and keep taking it?

Well think again.

Everyone knows that black churches and black community organizers and groups such as ACORN are the biggest voter frauds on the planet. Almost each state that ACORN has conducted mass black get out the votes have been declared fraud. They gave gas card out in Wisconsin to get people to vote yet they cry foul over voter ID cards. Why? Because they have to prove who they are with a voter ID card.
