Best way to get rid of poverty is to work. went by a voter registration booth in local supermarket WEdnesday the person in chrage was stopping all afro-americans and asking them to regsiter if they were not while ignoring the white people. Sounds funny to me. Jackson might be sick because he might have broken a sweat and his system is not use to that. He is a waste.

According to Andy Young, Jackson is the only person that he ever saw MLK almost come to blows with. He called the “Rev” a cheap opprotunist that cared nothing for the civil rights movement. Only way you can think Jackson speaks the truth is if you are a racist yourself. If Jesse wants to end poverty and other problems in the black community, perhaps he can start with working to ride the black community of gangs, pimps, teen and pre-teen mothers, school dropouts, welfare bums, etc. There is a LOT of work to be done in the black community and he could certainly start there, rather than blame the white man for all the problems. How long have we had equal opportunity—-30, 50 years? And blacks are worse off now than they were then? Sounds like somebody needs some help realizing their potential…go get’em Jesse!

Hey CHJ…learn some grammar, DOLT! Where did you go to school (if)…Clayton County? Outspoken, cannot, are both ONE WORD EACH! “Lower” should have been “LOWERED”! Try voting for qualifications instead of color…that is, unless you want to end up like Clayton or DeKalb on a grander scale! I remember Jesse coming to Albany on a “humanitarian” visit during the flood of 1994. He stepped out, gathered the awe-struck flooded folks around him for the cameras, spoke his piece about relief funds being especially needed in certain areas, got back in his limo and off they went into the sunset.

Less than 5 minutes. I’m sure it did a world of good.

I hope Jesse Jackson feels better, whatever he is sick from. However, as an educated black college student, he does not speak for me in any way nor will he ever do so. While his efforts in the Civil Rights Era is commendable, I hardly agree with anything that he says or does today. He is far too out of touch and too divisive to get anything accomplished.

In any case, as a fellow human, I hope he recovers from whatever that ills him.

Please note that according to Webster’s Universal Spelling, Grammar & Usage the word cannot, can not, and can’t all mean the same thing but they are used in different contexts, Cannot is the most usual form, however when can not is written as two words it is for emphasis.

Jesse,the time has come to stop racism by making th Rainbow Coalition a rainbow by bringing all the races together to form an organization that caters to all people. Lets make the NAACP obselete and call it NAAAP…National Association for the Advancement for All People. Trust me, we can erase poverty in our country. Beverly everytime I hear someone say that white people went to Africa and bought black people, who do you think was selling and capturing the future slaves. It was other black people and they knew what was going to happen to their fellow countrymen, they just did not care. Also you do know that every ethnicity at some point in history has been the victims of slavery, so all races know what it is like to be enslaved.

I know and understand we can go back to biblical times and slavery. My point is this, regardless of the chief capturing blacks and holding blacks captive it was against their will. I’ve learned in the history books how because of religious persecution Europeans left and came to America. But lets not forget what happened when they got here. The Natives were friendly, willing to help. Until Americans decided to steal, rape and whatever else. So of course the Natives fought back and became savages. But who were the real savages?
