DEL.ICIO.USBoortz not among those cutting Palin’s daughter any slack

Most every conservative soul at the Republican National Convention has been in lockstep on the topic of Gov. Sarah Palin’s pregnant daughter: It’s the family’s business, a private matter. The less said the better.
But Neal Boortz apparently didn’t get the memo. The syndicated radio talk show host, based here in Atlanta at WSB Radio, spent the morning from his booth in St. Paul giving the young lady a very public spanking — not surprising when you remember that Boortz often rails against local teenage drivers when their cars go astray, doing injury to themselves and others.
Boortz’ focus was on a photo sent to him, featuring Palin’s daughter and her husband-to-be, wearing faux gang garb and sporting a half-gallon bottle of what appears to be whiskey.

Boortz: Jamie [Dupree] sent me a picture last night of Sarah Palin’s daughter. Is she 16? She’s 17 now, isn’t she? And her boyfriend. And, oh, boy. From the looks of this picture you can only draw the conclusion that Sarah Palin’s 17-year-old daughter is a twit. First of all, her boy friend — he’s wearing a do-rag, a little wannabe rapper. He’s wearing his do-rag, and then he’s got an oversized baseball hat on sideways.
Belinda Skelton: Holding a huge thing of liquor.
Boortz: Holding a gallon jug of some kind of — well, it ain’t iced tea. And it’s about two-thirds empty…..That picture will probably end up going everywhere, and it’s not going to help anybody.”

Neal Boortz is the grumpy old windbag who loves hearing the sound of his own voice shouting, “GET OFF MY LAWN” to anyone who will listen.
I mean, seriously. 4 1/2 hours a day? Even the “Ego on Loan from God-uh” is only on for 3.

Palin was cast as a reformer who fought the infamous “Bridge to Nowhere.” But in fact, she ran for governor in 2006 as a champion of the pork-barrel bridge and “opposed” it only after it was clear the project was dead. Palin is against earmarks, but it turns out Palin fought to get earmarks both as mayor and as governor, hiring lobbyists and going to Washington herself to bring them home. It’s not the media’s fault that Sara story and what comes with it draws such national attention. McCain and his staff just didn’t do their homework.

I wish Boortz would cut his dockers some slack, however he is certainly honest in pointing out hypocrisy on both sides of the aisle and in the cockpit

As a right-of-center guy myself, I admire Neal most of time because he is an equal opportunity offender. Being a curmedgeon is part of his scthick (as poster Christopher has very eloquently called him a grump, old windbag…he he he…that’s funny). Why did the AJC have to insert in their remarks by implying that Neal would have gotten his talking points memo from the RNC? Or, was that part of the talking points memo that they received from the DNC?
By and large, Neal is unafraid and loves to rattle people — left and right. He does say some outrageous stuff from time to time but by and large, no one can say that he is not entertaining.

Don’t blame the messenger.. look at the message! Normally, I would say, leave the poor girl alone but hell no and here’s why. This is a woman and a party that pontificate many things superholy but specifically, Palin is against teaching sex ed. to H.S kids, offering FREE PROTECTION to our youth, counseling youth etc.. Now she has just learned that most of us as youngsters are did/aregoing to do what ever we want sexually anyway. Education is the key! She’s against it! She’s also against ANY ABORTION even in rape cases! She is not in the mainstream of society and her ultra conservative and unreasonable ways have come to haunt her and the party in ways yet to be revealed. Don’t get me wrong, Dems are a mess too but this is about Palin and her holiness. IF SHE CAN’T RUN HER OWN HOUSE…. She can’t be 2nd in command of the white house! PERIOD! She was NOT a good pick, poorly researched and EVERYONE KNOWS McCain was disingenuous for picking her in the 1st place as a “reaction” to Obama instead of being true to himself and picking a stronger candidate that accurately reflects HIS views which are not entirely in line with the party but good enough for him until now! Wishy washy pick = wishy washy results. NO PASS FOR PALIN OR McCAIN on this one!
If it were Obama’s daughter.. we would never hear the end of it and rightfully so.
Neil didn’t take the doggarn picture so leave him be!
Address the issue of a daughter who is out of control with alcohol, pregnancy, thug wannabe and every other NON CONSERVATIVE VALUE issue and the Mother of the girl who expouses these issues yet can’t control her own house.

Critiziing the media is an integral part of the Republican election strategy. The apparent aim is to put the media on the defensive, thereby generating more coverage for their candidate. Some pundits are going so far as to tell the media what is newsworthy. Now isn’t that interesting. Where was the outrage when Obama was being vetted for his association with Rev. Wright?
The Republicans’ silence and spin on Palins daughter’s pregnancy is not only antithetical to its professed beliefs but out right hypocritical. Among others, conservatism holds the viewpoint that favors a governmental role in encouraging and enforcing traditional values and behaviors in the belief that these are what keep people civilized and decent. The Palin daughter’s pregnancy came about as a result of a sinful act, yet there is no talk abou that. This the latest spin program is another in a series of examples of saying one thing and doing another.
