The Republican rain on Barack Obama’s campaign
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
It used to be that each party would retreat behind its entrenchments during the other’s national convention — a kind of gentleman’s truce.
But this is now, not then.
Barack Obama tonight will accept the Democratic nomination for president, the first African-American to win such a prize, in an outdoor stadium in Denver that seats 70,000.
Republicans are trying their best to rain on the event. Below is the morning assault from the John McCain campaign, a compendium of criticism of Obama from the Democratic primary.
But this web-only video is different in that it closes with a clip of Obama addressing questions of a presidential run in 2004:
“I am a believer in knowing what you’re doing when you apply for a job. If I were to seriously consider running on a national ticket, I would essentially have to start now, before having served a day in the Senate. Now there are some people who might be comfortable doing that, but I’m not one of those people.”

I’m surprised McCain is even putting out any response ads. Why not just let Fox News continue to do the job for him so he can save some money later.

So what if the man indicated that he wouldn’t run for president 4 YRS AGO!!! Alot has happened in 4ys, and nOW he has changed his mind. What the HELL is wrong with that??!! He feels he has what it takes to run for office, so let him run. John McCain will veto any “beer” that comes before him (LOL). He’s an old fool with no REAL vision for today’s economy.

It was very enlightening how most News agencies sent their most critical Conservative pundits to cover the Democratic Convention.
Is This a sign of things to come or will they send Progressives to cover the Republican Convention?

Mike K knows that FOX News is run by the Republican big $$$$. Congratulations Mike! Does FOX talk about all the McCain position changes to make himself more conservative? Americans will now see the “advertising folks” spin statistics, ideas and brain games in every direction. Hold on to your wallets. The Cheney/Bush team has pushed the Nation’s debt towards financial crisis. When the Veterans come home—where are 130,000 jobs? 8 years of Cheney’s leadership is 8 years too many!!

The Tax Policy Center estimates that over 10 years, McCain’s tax proposals could increase the national debt by as much as $4.5 trillion with interest, while Obama’s could add as much as $3.3 trillion.
Save $1.2 Trillion Dollars! Vote Obama.
How’s that for nonpartisan thinking???

McCain claims he didn’t have a table and chair while a POW.
Truth: He Sat in a chair behind a table to make News footage for the North Vietnamese.
I’d like to watch those again; would you?

Lead me to the great well of Kool Aid I will drink oh master for I am a dimocrat that has on a veil of darkness that I cant see through! I dont want to hear the truth because it will hurt so bad therefore I just turn a deaf ear to reality so that I may follow you into a depression with massive tax hikes no foriegn policy experience the enemy fighting us in our own streets I support you just like hammas and al quieda as they are licking their chops at the prospect of you being elected. It matters not that you have only 143 days experience of which you accomplished nothing and that Senator McCain has 26 years experience which he has used to accomplish much great legislation and served on many commities and is a war hero and proven Great American. Voting for you is like letting a first year medical student perform open heart surgery on me but I would do it as long as he had written a couple of books and made a speech 4 years ago to a biased crowd just like you. You oh master of the silver tounge but empty suit I will follow you anywhere no matter how many of the major dimocrats said you werent worthy and your vice presidential running mate said he would rather be on a ticket with John McCain. None of this matters to me for I cant see reality through this dark veil that shields me from the facts. More Kool Aid and pep rallies oh master I must have more!! LOL!

I encourage all libs to act like Donaldd. Do it in public. Do it often. Make sure that when you spew such hate for McCain and our fighting men and women, tell them you are a Democrat voter. Please keep this up. I am begging ya’ll. If you grow weary, dig deep. But for crying out loud make sure you run down McCain’s POW experience. Thanks. Peace.

After what the Republicans did to John Kerry and Max Cleland, I’m sorry Churchill, you don’t get to get indignant when people do the same to McCain.
Not ever.

Eight years of George Bush has redefined “readiness” to be President. It also underscores the importance enlightened voting. To succeed in becoming an enlightened voter you must embrace facts, inquisitiveness, and discernment more tightly than you do campaign rhetoric and irrational rantings in the blogshpere.

ON the Obama website, there is a list of his accomplishments.
He voted for an earned imcome tax credit as a legislator in Illinois. He did not come up with the idea, just voted for it. He asked law enforcement officials to start videotaping confessions and interrogations.
That is the extent of his work while an Illinois legislator and should be considered incredibly embarrassing.
Now, in the Senate, he was really productive. He and another senator introduced a bill to allow Americans to go online and see how tax dollars are spent. He was vocal about ethics reform. He tried to help Illinois veterans get disability pay. He traveled to Russia, and he has tried to bring parties together to discuss todays fuel crisis.
So, as a senator, he introduces an irrelevant bill, talks about ethics, takes a trip to Russan and tries to get people talking about fuel. What a waste of space he was for Illinois!
The above is the entire list of his accomplishments taken directly from his website.
And people actually want to put this useless person into the white house????
