Sonny Perdue invites Democrats and their ‘millions and millions of dollars’ to Georgia
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
From his TV set in Atlanta, Gov. Sonny Perdue said he’s picking up a sense of “buyer’s remorse” among Democrats in Denver.
“That’s palpable on the floor. The unity message is not sticking,” the Republican governor said in a conference call with reporters organized by the John McCain presidential campaign.
The McCain campaign has been anxious, particularly in TV ads, to drive a wedge between supporters of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama during the Democratic National Convention.
Perdue said his reading of Democratic delegates — the governor was one of their number until 1998 — is that they’re coming to realize that the race is boiling down to “a classic case of a talker versus a doer.”
Perdue implied that he considers Obama qualified for the No. 2 spot on the ticket. But voters, the governor said, “are not prepared to send a vice presidential candidate to meet the [Vladimir] Putins of the world.”
On the Republican vice presidential front, Perdue said he isn’t one of those who insist that McCain must produce a pro-life nominee for vice president tomorrow.
McCain has clear enough anti-abortion credentials to satisfy the Republican base. “John McCain has very clear and uncloudy credentials as a pro-life politician,” the governor said.
As for talk that Georgia is in play in the presidential race, Perdue invited Democrats to come and “spend as much money as possible in this state. Millions and millions of dollars.”
The outcome will be the same and the money wasted, Perdue said. “I think they are feigning a move that won’t happen.”

This conservative says a woman can't be half-pregnant....... A pro-Life McCain & a pro-Abortion VP means a SPLIT ticket....McCain dies & we have a pro-Abortion president. Then he picks a pro-Abortion VP....where is Pro-Life...Both McCain & his pick must be on the same page. ProLife.ProLife...Or I stay home.By ditto-tard

… because there’s only ONE issue in America today that matters: stopping and preventing women, of any age, now and forever, for any reason, having a say-so about their own bodies. To quote Borat: “That’s no good for me!”
No other issue matters, and if you can’t see that, stay home.

LOL! “The unity message is not sticking”? That’s proof Sonny hasn’t even watched the convention; he’s just desperately spouting pre-written talking points.
And we definitely don’t need a hot-headed, trigger-happy President who doesn’t know the difference between Sunnis and Shiites, who thinks Czechoslovakia still exists, and who has to plagiarize Wikipedia articles to get any understanding of Georgia.

The four comments (two of which are duplicate) about Purdue’s drivel says it all about his substance and relevance.
The arrogant Georgia Republicans are counting on a surge of mindless voters this fall. Their calling card is Obama is a Liberal and McCain is a conservative. Well, in this election voting behaviors will turn on poor performance and the question ” Do you want a continuation of the last eight years?”
Like Perdue, Jim Martin will prove that money cannot buy an election. However, unlike Perdue he will not be a fluke.

They call Obama a lib because that is precisely what he is. He is a great big lib. Over a trillion dollars in new spending and he will do it by raising taxes. It is O.K. I have a plan to defray the cost of , God Forbid, an Obama presidency. I will lay off a salaried ($64,000.00) employee and cut my matching 401K contribution for my employees by half. It stinks, but I have will not alter my lifestyle because some idiot lib is trying to wreck the country. LIbs never think about the fact that small business owners must make cuts when idiot politicians raise taxes on them. Guess what? We will make cuts. We will continue to live where we live, drive what we drive, and make as much money as we can in the process.
Sorry, I ran the numbers of an Obama plan on me and business yesterday. Truly disgusting. The man is a socialist. Peace.

Perdue has already squeezed the blood out of Georgia’s population. His budget deficit is over 1.6 billion and growing. So, I guess he would be willing to welcome anyone with money for him to take. That’s why he was overseas on taxpayer money, wasn’t it — to do a sweet talking and try to borrow more money from communist China. We know exactly how low these Republicans will go for a buck. They’ll even take it out of our grandchildren’s future paychecks — WalMart paychecks.

Perdue:
Please please please just shut up. You have caused so much damage to our party! We are a laughing stock to the state and now to the country! Do you not know how to talk to a reporter? Do you not have any political skill or common sense? If you want to support McCain you just lost your chance! You are too self absorbed - too redneck confederacy looney to message for the party so that we dont ALSO lose the presidency! I cant believe I am saying this but- go on one of your expensive “economic development” trips to China or whereever and leave the support of McCain to someone who is not politically corrupt and retarded. I’d rather have ralph reed do it than you!!!!
