DEL.ICIO.USGeorgia gives Obama 82 and Clinton 18

Denver — Georgia’s delegation cast 82 votes for Barack Obama and 18 for Hillary Clinton, Jane Kidd and Shirley Franklin announced from the floor of the Pepsi Center.
Georgia actually had 102 votes to give, meaning two delegates did not cast ballots.
The delegation came into the convention with 27 pledged votes for Clinton meaning nine delegates didn’t follow through.
Georgia was called on by Alice Travis Germond, the secretary of the Democratic Party, who is leading the roll call.
“Georgia, the state where I was born,” Germond said, “you have 102 votes, how do you cast them?”
Kidd went first:
“Ladies and gentlemen, fellow Democrats and friends, we bring you greetings from the great state of Georgia, the 13th state in our Union, birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., home today of those who carry on his great and endearing legacy. Leaders like the Rev. Joseph Lowery and Congressman John Lewis. Where we acclaim and cherish our statesmen who have led our nation with wise and steady hands. Statesmen like President Jimmy Carter and Sam Nunn.”
Then, Franklin drove it home:
“And where we look to the future and optimistic days because Georgia knows that hope is on the horizon and our future is bright, indeed. Madam chairman, we, the Empire State of the South, the Jewel of the South, the great state of Georgia, is proud to cast 18 votes for Senator Hillary Clinton and 82 votes for the next president of the United States, Senator Barack Obama!”

Arent’ any of you patriots worried about our Navy anchored next to the Soviet Navy as our relief ships arrive in Georgia?

Very surprised our Republican White House hasn’t responded to the Russian agression by invading Venezuela. Great job, ‘w’!
Maybe he’s saving it for McSame? Hey, maybe McSame can get shot down and captured again so he can make up another story about somebody drawing another Cross with a bayonet? Maybe his newest best buddy Daddy Yankee could draw the Cross next time?????

The O-man, Barack Hussein Obama, is an eloquently tailored empty suit. No resume, no accomplishments, no experience, no original ideas, no understanding of how the economy works, no understanding of how the world works, no balls, nothing but abstract empty rhetoric devoid of real substance.
He has no real identity. He is half-white, which he rejects. The rest of him is mostly Arab, which he hides but is disclosed by his non-African Arabic surname and his Arabic first and middle names as a way to triply proclaim his Arabic parentage to people in Kenya . Only a small part of him is African Black from his Luo grandmother, which he pretends he is exclusively.
What he isn’t, not a genetic drop of, is ‘African-American,’ the descendant of enslaved Africans brought to America chained in slave ships. He hasn’t a single ancestor who was a slave. Instead, his Arab ancestors were slave owners. Slave-trading was the main Arab business in East Africa for centuries until the British ended it.
Let that sink in: Obama is not the descendant of slaves, he is the descendant of slave owners. Thus he makes the perfect Liberal Messiah.
It’s something Hillary doesn’t understand - how some complete neophyte came out of the blue and stole the Dem nomination from her. Obamamania is beyond politics and reason. It is a true religious cult, whose adherents reject Christianity yet still believe in Original Sin, transferring it from the evil of being human to the evil of being white. Thus Obama has become the white liberals’ Christ, offering absolution from the Sin of Being White. There is no reason or logic behind it, no faults or flaws of his can diminish it, no arguments Hillary could make of any kind can be effective against it. The absurdity of Hypocrisy Clothed In Human Flesh being their Savior is all the more cause for liberals to worship him: Credo quia absurdum, I believe it because it is absurd.
Thank heavens that the voting majority of Americans remain Christian and are in no desperate need of a phony savior.
His candidacy is ridiculous and should not be taken seriously by any thinking American.
Jack Wheeler is a brilliant man who was the author of Reagan’s strategy to break the back of the Soviet Union with the star wars race and expose their inner weakness. For years he wrote a weekly intelligence update that was extremely interesting and well structured and informed He consults(ed) with several mega corporations on global trends and the future, etc. I think he is in semi-retirement now. He is a true patriot with a no-nonsense approach to everything.

Barack Obama, Our Modern-day Joshua For all those who believe that Barack Obama is too young and inexperienced to be President of the United States of America, well the Israelites thought the same thing of Joshua who succeeded Moses in leading them into the Promised-land.
Moses, at the top of Mount Nebo, looked over the mountaintop and saw the Promised Land. Similarly, in 1967, the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King in his ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, uttered very similar words. He said that he had been to the mountaintop and had seen the Promised Land. It is very possible that through the struggle of civil rights, God gave Dr. King a vision of what was to come.
Forty years after the start of Moses’ ministry, God called Joshua, “a young man” to lead the Israelites into their Promised Land. Again, similarly, about forty years after the vision of Dr. King, God calls this young, scrappy guy to lead the people of the United States of America into their Promised Land.
Do you believe that Barack Obama defied such odds and overcame numerous statistics by hard work alone? If you can believe that maybe, just maybe, God has had blessed Obama’s life from the beginning? Then you probably could believe that Barack Obama was raised up for such a time as this. This is his destiny—his calling.
Since September 11, 2001, we have been saying, “God Bless America” and singing, “God Bless America”, so why don’t we let God Bless America and have a little faith and believe that Obama was chosen to bless America. We Christians know from the Bible, that God uses the foolish (as in his age or lack of experience) to defy the wise. Jesus, our savior didn’t look like what the Jews expected him to be either.

Romney camp on Dr. Jack Wheeler’s attempted smear of John McCain during the GOP primary -
Of the top-tier GOP candidates, McCain has not been—-as is well-known to many of you—-my first choice. But Wheeler’s article has no place in civilized discourse. It is a slur on an American hero, and while we may take issue with his positions or even his temperament as regards his candidacy, we cannot allow slurs of American heros to go unchallenged. For reasons of temperament and issues, I urge a vote for Mitt Romney tomorrow. For reasons of patriotism and decency, I urge you all to spread the word that Dr. Wheeler’s article is a pack of lies.
Dr. Jack Wheeler is no different than pundits like Hannity and Rush who laugh all the way to the bank at our country’s expense.

Ummm… Georgia is the FOURTH state in the Union. We were the 13th colony to be founded, but 4th to ratify the Constitution. Check the state quarter series!

NM I am glad that I was not the only one who caught that. Georgia was the 13th colony, but the 4th state to enter the union. I learned that in the third grade. I loved Bill’s speech how in ‘92 he as qualified to be commander and chief… I was in the Army then and lived on less money than people I knew who were on welfare and food stamps. He cut our training funds, our strength, our pay, and benefits. He forced good officers and NCO’s into early retirement… he forced Sudan to banish Osama Bin Laden into Afghanistan (where we could not keep tabs on him anymore)….and he claims that Obama is as ready as he was to be commander and chief of our military.

Au contraire, ‘Backfromiraq’ (where you never should’ve been sent, but were, due to this buffoon, Bush).
In fact, Obama IS an African-American. I am not—I’m an American, a Black American. But Obama is a true African-American becasue his father was an African and his mother an American and he was born in Hawaii, an American state.
McCain will only further purport the abysmal politics of Bush and that approach to our country must end. Bush is the worst president in my lifetime. Maybe ever.

Voice FYI: Barack Hussein Obama is not half black. If elected, he would be the first Arab-American President, not the first black President. Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother’s side and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father’s side. While Barack Hussein Obama’s father was from Kenya , his father’s family was mainly Arabs.. Barack Hussein Obama’s father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab (his father’s birth certificate even states he’s Arab, not African Negro). Barack Hussein Obama’s name is Arabic and ‘Baraka’ (from which Barack came) means ‘blessed’ in that language. Hussein is also Arabic and so is Obama.
