Greetings from the DNC

Denver — Happy Sunday morning from the Colorado Convention Center, where it isn’t yet noon.

The opening press conference of the 2008 Democratic National Convention is about to get under way and Atlanta’s own Mayor Shirley Franklin is part of the show.

Franklin is a national co-chair of this extravaganza of speeches, hyperbole, parties, security and traffic.

Look to this space through the week for a look at what Georgians are up to. There are more than 150 fellow Peach Staters here, including an official delegation of 132, including 102 voting delegates.

Most of the Georgia crowd, including me, are staying at the Doubletree Denver, which is a bit of a misnomer. It’s really in Stapleton, about six miles away from downtown, where all the action is.

We’re sharing that hotel with delegations from Alabama and North and South Dakota. And, yes, politics is involved in the decision of who stays where. The more important you are in Democratic politics, or to the coming election, the better your hotel. And by better, I mean nicer and closer to the convention hall, in this case the Pepsi Center.

That’s why New York, California and Illinois are right close and we are, well, we’re not as bad off as Hawaii, which is stuck out in Littleton. That’s kind of like being in Conyers, I think, if the convention were at the World Congress Center.

Hussein’s flacks just pulled all of his ads from Ga. Too bad for you dum dims who kept flapping your pieholes about Ga as a “battleground” state. Not any more. Biden’s selection just wrote off the Confederacy. Some Irish papist just don’t go around here.

Watch out for the whacked-out protesters there Aaron. I hear that they intend on throwing feces and urine at those that disagree with them. I hear that tomorrow they are going to protest the official location of the protest. You gotta love these libs. Peace.

Well, of the 4 women mentioned in this article, I have zero respect for Franklin and Pelosi. I hope the other two learn to keep better company.

I was just curious about how much the trip for the group “There are more than 150 fellow Peach Staters here, including an official delegation of 132, including 102 voting delegates.” from Georgia are costing ME as a taxpayer.I’m sure our illustrious mayor is not spending ANY of her money on this trip.Erstwhile we have huge financial deficits at the state level and even worse at the local “Atlanta” level.

That is it, Rev. Reality. That is all they will do is talk. Talk. Talk. Talk. I would like to thank you for the never heard of “Blame America” line. Why is it that you libs attack this country. We are fighting a war the Islamo-Facist started, and you want to complain about it. You know this is why this election is so very important. You libs want to surrend the war on terror because people are getting killed. Guess what. That is the purpose of war. The purpose of our military is to kill people and break things. This stuff happens in times of war. It is not great thing, but at least we are taking the battle to them. If it were left up to the Democrat Party, we would be fighting this war in the court system. But please carry on blaming this great nation. Do it often and make sure to point out to anybody, that will listen, that you are a Democrat. Blaming America may work on the coasts and in the lib-world, but in the heartland where the normal Americans live that message does not sell. The funny thing is, that you guys never seem to learn that lesson. You nominate big time lib candidates and wonder why they get skunked? Peace.

Shock and Awe, War on Terrorism, blue 42 hut hut hike

That did not take long there, Pube. Libs always counter with the “if you don’t serve in the military, then shut up” deal. I will gladly accept that offer, if, and only if, libs who have not served also keep their mouths shut on war issues. They never take me up on it.

When you were mentioning Blue 42 Hut….. I thought you were giving Obama’s poverty sticken brother’s address in Kenya. Did you know that if Obama would send his brother 100 bucks he could install a working toilet and running water? Peace.

When Obama talks about the least of these does he include his brother in Kenya? What has stopped Obama from helping his brother out? Since Obama is willing to turn a blind eye to the poverty in his own family, maybe the Democratic party could pass the plate at the Democratic Convention. I know that they love to talk about poverty. Maybe some one over at ABS could do an extreme makeover on G. Hussien’s hut in Kenya. Feel free to steal any of these ideas, libs. We need to help G. Hussein Obama. It would harm America’s image abroad if our President has a brother living in abject poverty and squaller. Peace

Maybe some one should tell Obama that he could get a tax write off if he helped his brother out

In response to Churchill - First, it’s his ‘half’ brother, who - until recent years, were unknown to each other. Obama’s natural father left his mother when Barrack was a small boy and moved back to Kenya and started a whole new life for himself. If you do a little research instead of comdemning, you’ll see this young man is happy in his lifestyle, does not want to leave Kenya, is in a community technical college and is proud of his half brother.

If you want to be so quick to condemn, how about the ‘two’ half sisters - one from mom and one from dad - of Cindi McCain - who, by the way, tells everyone that she’s an Only Child!!! Do you think the Millionairist ‘takes care’ of her sisters, when she doesn’t even acknowledge their existence to the media?

G. Hussein Obama lives in a hut with no running water. He has to defecate outdoors. He does not have access to potable water. Spin this however you want there, Deb. Obama could at least send him 100 bucks and improve his life style. Peace.

It is Bush’s fault that Obama is having trouble. It is Bush’s fault that Obama’s brother lives in poverty. It is Bush’s fault that Obama will not send his brother 100 smackeroos for a hut renovation. Bush hates hut dwellers and I hate Bush!!! I hate Bush!!!!!!!!
