The Obama campaign does some grassroots work
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The Obama presidential campaign caught some grief in this space on Thursday for its reluctance to part with any statistical data to back up its contention that Georgia remains “very, very, very” much in play.
This evening and on Saturday, at numerous locations throughout the state, supporters will engage in “neighbor-to-neighbor” volunteer training in “the skills Barack Obama learned during his days as a community organizer in Chicago.
The question to Caroline Adelman, spokeswoman for the campaign, was simple. How many people do they expect to show up?
Three thousand, she replied, rather proudly. “Now, how often do you see a number like that in a presidential campaign?”

Jim:
There are a LOT of buildings tha could have office 407 in them on South Slappey in Albany.
Though it IS in the black neighborhood… still haven’t seen very many whites interested in the guy. Pretty much just the ultra-racist blacks (Sandford Bishop chief among those) and their sympathizers.

I’m a volunteer on the Obama campaign in Carroll county, and I am attending a volunteer training tomorrow in Austell. Just thought I’d point out that the campaign is targeting every county in the state, not just metro Atlanta.

McCain will not win this when he only comes to high dollar exclusive events. I am a Republican and I am not voting for McCain.
Not voting for Obama either, but conservatives should weigh their options, screw the lesser or two evils. I am not voting for either evil.

Too bad the Obama campaign is only using volunteers and staff here to do voter registration. And only of African-Americans or hispanics, which in itself is borderline racist (they do not go into “white” areas because it’s illegal to ask someone how they lean politcally and then offer to register - are they following these laws properly?). Obama says he wants to create change, yet he’s not really campaigning, he’s trying to register new voters to win, and worse than that, he expects that because they are African American and being uneducated/never voted or tuned into politics before they will all vote for him just because he said so and had them sign the registration card. This campaign is running on one message, and like they did in the primary against Hillary, running a different game behind the scenes that none of us really know about or understand. That’s scary.

“Barry Soetoro” aka Barack Obama is verified as a Muslim Indonesian
A 2007 Associated Press photograph, suppressed until now, shows the school register of the child who is today known as Barack Hussein Obama but was officially listed then as Barry Soetoro, whose citizenship was listed as “Indonesian” and whose religion was listed as “Islam.” The visual evidence starkly contradicts the Obama campaign’s claim that he was not a Muslim and confirms that he is a national of at least one other country.
The AP caption reads: “This registration document, made available on Jan. 24, 2007, by the Fransiskus Assisi school in Jakarta, Indonesia, shows the registration of Barack Obama under the name Barry Soetoro into the Catholic school made by his step-father, Lolo Soetoro. The document lists Barry Soetoro as a Indonesian citizen, born on August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, and shows his Muslim step-father listed the boy’s religion as Islam.
“Obama’s mother, divorced from Obama’s father, married a man from Indonesia named Lolo Soetoro, and the family relocated to the country from 1967-71. At first, Obama attended the Catholic school, Fransiskus Assisis, where documents showed he enrolled as a Muslim, the religion of his stepfather.

GW, name calling is usually the last resort by those afraid of facts.
As for the last post -it’s not mine apparently anyone is so small as to hide behind my handle obviously unafraid to speak for themselves- how bush!
As Winston Churchill once said “the best arguement against a democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter”
