DSCC goes on the attack (on the Internet) against Chambliss
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
While Jim Martin gets his general election campaign for the U.S. Senate organized, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has picked up the slack with a first attack on Republican incumbent Saxby Chambliss.
The ad is an attempt to portray Chambliss as a tool of Big Oil. One suspects that Chambliss has seen this one coming — and one reason why he’s leading the GOP side of a bipartisan energy bill in the Senate.
The ad highlights the nearly $200,000 — of a total $6.2 million raised — that Chambliss has received from oil interests.
Supporters of the Republican incumbent shouldn’t be too alarmed. For the time being, the ad’s appearing on the Internet only. Click on the picture below to watch.

Anyone else need confirmation Jim Martin is a stooge of liberal Democrats in Washington?

Anyone else need confirmation that Saxby and the poster known as “JDP” are stooges of the Republican/Big Oil/Big Corporate alliance in Washington that’s been telling middle-class Americans to suck on it for years now?

Watch out. Gas prices aren’t $4 anymore.
It was a speculative bubble, just as many of us prayed it was. (nobody knew 4sure).
Saxby Chambliss is just another business as usual politicians who couldn’t withstand any real scrutiny, just like most of our congress.
Conservativism is dead. Sen. Craig sounded taps, with his flag at half mast.
Vote Democrat for change.

Let’s come together across party lines and support a good guy. Jim Martin a solid, family-man candidate. Saxby sold us out a long time ago. With both of our current Senators in the minority, we need one from each party!

Jim Martin is not a solid candidate. You can’t trust him on anything from his endorsements to his policy plans.

JDP —-do you consider Saxbay a good candidate or just a tool of special interest,,do you think that the $4,000,000.00 war chest raised from special interest has helped Georgia or his partons?? Do you think it was right for Saxby to work with Pelosi & Reid to over ride the pork filled Farm Bill?? How about the Bail out the Bank act,, by the way Saxby collected nearly $1,400,000.00 from Banks & real estate related special interest. Term Limits NOW, Term Limits Here, Better Government for Georgia..

Why does the Democrat party hate energy companies? Why do they hate profits? Why do they want to hurt the companies that millions of Americans have invested in for their retirement? I will tell you why. The Democrat party wants to control the energy companies and all their money. If government ran the energy industry we would not heat a peep out of them on profits. Wait. If the government ran the energy companies there would be no profits…… sorry. Peace.

BillW.. The question is will he raise $10,000,000.00 from special interest. Will Martin have a son like Bo Chambliss who works as a lobbist for the industry his father writes laws for. Saxby has a record of delivering for SPECIAL INTEREST, Buckley & Martin do not have this track record so they might actually work for Georgia rather tha SPECIAL INTEREST, can you say that about Saxby?

What’s sad is the DSCC likely paid about $200,000 for that mediocre ad.

Jim Martin is running a 100% negative campaign. He ought to be ashamed of himself.
Martin sucks.

Mableton Mom, what are you basing your 100% negative on? Pay attention, the conversation is about a DSCC ad, not a Martin ad.

From what I can learn of the “compromise”, it looks like a bunch of idiot politicians telling the oil companies just WHERE they can drill.’
I don’t know about you, but I want the oil companies to drill where there’s oil.
I can’t believe we have such idiots in our national congress. I guess we get the government we deserve.
Honestly, they make me sick.

What do you think about Saxby going over to the Obama side.. He is mad about McCain’s opposition to the farm bill & Ethanol I understand. Saxby & Obama have more in common anyway, Big Spending, big Government, Pro Amnesty Liberals. How that Saxby has signed off on a windfall tax on oil he has as they say come out of the closet.

Jim Martin is a just another of the Carl Marx loving Demorat, (no misspelling). Loves Large government, hates personal freedom and liberty, wants to make government control every part of life. Name one thing the government does better than private business. SS, medicare?? How about voting for freedom not slavery to the government. Either Martin is stupid or just depending on the voters to be stupid! Martin wants to take money from one group who earned it and give it to those who who didn’t. Jim Martin is just a low life SOB in my book!

Melvyn, you silly goose.
“Name one thing government does better than private business” ? well, maybe you should ask bear stearns, all the banks, the automakers, and every other private company that is now looking for the government to save them from their incompetence.
So much for that point. Beyond that, it seems all you can do is attack the character of a man who at least had the courage to wear the uniform of his country, unlike your draft-dodging chickenhawk buddy Saxby.

Mmmm…Nothing smells better than Karl Marx for breakfast in the morning.
You’re right! I do like Karl Marx.
Course I lied. The smell of crispy CINO’s burning in hell for putting Party before Christ smells just a tad better.

And at the last supper, the Lord testified that one among their number would betray them.
And each one asked, “Lord, is it I?”
All save the last one who accused everyone else present of being a Karl Marx Communist Anti American Democrat.
He was too busy to ask, “Lord, is it I?”
After all, he was a Christian, so he didn’t really NEED to ask that question.
Didn’t he have a bumper sticker with a fish on it that said he was Christian?
Didn’t he cast out devils in His name?
Didn’t he lower taxes and establish a no bid contract for his good Christian buddies so they could further the Gospel of Greed?
CINO.
