Incumbents cruising early
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Election returns for Georgia’s five contested U.S. House primary elections are just starting to trickle in.
With only a handful of precincts counted, Democratic incumbents John Barrow and Jim Marshall, and GOP incumbent Paul Broun, have jumped to huge leads over their respective opponents: Regina Thomas, Robert Nowak and Barry Fleming. Very early returns show each of three incumbents taking 3 of every 4 votes cast.
There are no results yet for the fifth and 13th congressional districts. In the fifth, incumbent John Lewis is opposed by Markel Hutchins and “Able” Mable Thomas. In the 13th, incumbent David Scott faces Donzella James.

Looks like the tide of change the democrats keep talking about isn’t forming. I was glad to see that Marshall did well. He’s a democrat, but he’s not as bad as most.

Why would did Johnny Isakson send out a letter seeking money for HIS campaign on the eve of primary night? Especially in light of the fact that his name does not appear on the ballot on this election cycle? His big talk about building up the GOP sounds just a lttle lame right now. Not only did Johnny send it out at a time that will weaken this cycle of Republican candidates at the wrong time, it also went after the folks who are only going to donate a small amount of money. This really kills the grassroots effort that allowed Johnny and his twin, Saxby to have no claim in being the party leaders of the GOP. Once again, Johnny is a major disappointment in character and leadership.

G.Richarson ….Did you notice Johnnie did not send prepaid envelopes, I always send Saxby’s back empty. Guess Johnnie is smarter than his special interest Twin. I have known the old Jonnie for over 30 years & he has drank too much “Washington Water”, he thinks he works for the big banks not the voters of Georgia.
