McCain camp to unveil Georgia team
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
John McCain’s campaign in Georgia is beginning to show signs of life.
In about an hour, some of Georgia’s top Republicans will gather at the Capitol in Atlanta to unveil McCain’s statewide leadership team. There are also similar events today in Columbus, Savannah and Macon.
Coming to the Gold Dome to tout the presidential hopeful’s Georgia bid are Gov. Sonny Perdue, U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson and state GOP chairwoman Sue Everhart.
While naming a statewide leadership team doesn’t rank up there with, say, a personal visit from the candidate or opening a Georgia headquarters or buying airtime on Georgia television stations, today’s events are still important.
To this point, McCain’s campaign has been virtually non-existent in the state, while Democrat Barack Obama has been here personally, he’s running TV ads here, he has 75 paid staff on the ground and hundreds of trained volunteers.
While turning Georgia from red to blue is very much a difficult challenge for Obama, many observers believe McCain cannot afford to ignore Georgia. And given the somewhat tepid reception McCain has received from some Georgia conservatives, having these heavy hitters make a public declaration of action is vital.

Dear American Citizens and the Press
As a concerned citizen, I consider it is my duty to bring following message to you all.
“We the citizens of the United States of America have the ultimate responsibility to elect the ” Right Candidate” to lead our nation, out of our huge present and future internal and external challenges as well as opportunities. This is to prevent depression and isolation in-spite of being the only superpower in the world morally, democratically, economically, and militarily.
We need to consider the “critical qualities and characteristics” of our presumptive presidential nominees at the time we vote.
In my personal and professional opinion the critical considerations are as under:
Stay informed, stay involved, and stay engaged. Do not allow some partisan media, pundits, pollsters, and perpetual political opinion makers effect your vote in the wrong direction.
Don’t be effected and duped by “Psychological Terrorism” that is afflicted upon you all the time.
Long live U.S.A and its diverse but democratic people.

It’s time for people to stop being “party loyalists” and do what’s right for America. We can no longer afford to have the mindset that our military is the ONLY solution for every problem we face.
McCain’s view of Foreign Policy is even more dangerous than Bush’s. If you want more senseless war, then vote for McCain. If you’d like to try a new approach, then vote for someone new and end the disastrous path we’re on.
We need to turn the direction of this country around and McCain is certainly not going to do it.

You know, I have not even looked to see who the Repugnicans have chosen to be sacrificial lambs for McCain in Georgia. I sure don’t envy them the really hard row they are going to have to hoe and there will be blame coming at them from every quarter of the Repugnican establishment.
Georgia is in play and that is game these guys are not used to playing. They have to try to defend a record to the people of Georgia that is absolutely indefensible and try to show a candidate in “presidential light” who is crazier than W ever was. What, with McCain’s temper and his belief that he can bomb the Mid-East into submission, he is more dangerous than W at his cowboy worst. These poor Repugnicans must be looking like a deer caught in the headlights of the Democratic juggernaut.
McCain will pull the ideological rug out from under these poor slobs at every flip flop. I mean, we are talking about a candidate who admitted on air that he would not vote for a bill he co-sponsored. He flipped the flop, flopped the flip.
I hope these chosen goonie birds are not planning on political careers in the future because supporting McCain, much less leading his state effort, could come back to bite them in their Repugnican butts.
This is going to be a hoot to watch. I am betting that inside a month they are going to have to find some way to spin a monumental gaff by their candidate. Dems, pull up a comfortable chair and watch their own candidate shoot these Repugnicans in the foot or other anatomical places.

Good. It is about time. That “sleeper” Muslim, Obama, needs some competition. I am ready for my McCain yard sign. I am tired of seeing all of the muslim-Obama supporting signs all over the state.

By the way, Sam… have you figured out yet that many of our fellow Americans ARE Muslims? And that they’re just as patriotic as you, if not more so?
Keep demonstrating the stupidity of the far right, Sam—it’s the best thing you can do to ensure a Democratic landslide this fall!

Copyleft, honey you cannot argue with a brain that atrophied in the 50’s. Sam has not learned anything since he joined the KKK, and you can’t expect him to learn anything now. He repeats what he’s heard, he doesn’t read, being a victim of Ga’s failed educational system. He doesn’t listen (the hood interferes with his hearing) and this blog is the only way he can rant his silly lies because he can’t get anyone with a lick of sense to listen to him.
Poor ole thing, people like him have been laughted at by everyone but the most rabid repugnicans and they have begun to fear that the rest of the electorate will not fall for the facist rant of the GOP again.

I know that Obama will lose GA ultimately, but I blather on anyway. Betty Boop says that GA will remain a red state.
