James plans ‘victory’ party
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Political candidates always say they’re going to win. Rarely do they swear themselves into office before the voting starts.
Donzella James did just that Monday. The subject line in an 11th e-mail blast to supporters stated “Join Congresswoman Donzella James for a Victory Celebration.”
Those are strong words for a Democratic challenger running without a lot of money and who got thumped 2-1 two years ago by the same incumbent, David Scott.
“Because of you we will prevail, because of you we will have the opportunity to have our voices heard on a national level and bring Service and Integrity back to our community,” James stated in her e-mail.

Jim Galloway is out of town, but will return soon. If you’ve got news, pop an e-mail to our political team: editor Susan Abramson at sabramson@ajc.com; staffers Aaron Sheinin at asheinin@ajc.com; James Salzer at jsalzer@ajc.com; and Ben Smith at bsmith@ajc.com.

Considering that David Scott is a corrupt politician who has laundered his campaign contributions to his family and himself, and considering that David Scott doesn’t show his district the courtesy to even live there, then maybe Ms. James should enjoy a victory celebration.

Difference between this nutjob and Obama referring to himself as ‘President’ Obama being?
At least this nutjob - James, not Obama - stands a chance at ACTUALLY winning…

Scott is a crook we’d be better with someone else in congress but he’s in a district that likes crooks.

Why call her a nutjob? Because she’s confident?

Thanks to Gov. Purdue for his support of the laws of the land and georgia. disarming law abiding citizens is not the answer. maybe mayor franklin should concentrate more on where the money went that has atlanta in a financial crisis than worry about citizens protecting themselves. it’s a shame that the politicians making the big bucks and are responsible for the financial problems do not have to answer for their mis-management. it’s always the people on the lower end of the pay scale that have to pay.

Since 2002, James has lost several races. She lost to Scott/Worley/Hecht for Congress, then a race for DOT Board, then against Sen. Kasim Reed, then Rep. Scott again, then she lost a reelection to her Dem Party post. Now, she is running for Congress a third time.

I was at the Obama rally last week and saw this woman politicking in the crowd before he came on stage - she is a mess. It was totally wrong for her to be out there handing out her fliers in the first place, at another politician’s event - the party’s standard bearer no less - when you know he (Obama) isn’t going to play in the primary anyway. The Vernon Jones ‘coattail riding flyer’ story had just broken, and there she was doing the same d*mn thing! Whoever noted all her prior losses above makes a good point - she’s basically a perennial candidate at this stage. She’ll lose tomorrow, and just keep running for something else. As a democrat, I’m embarassed that our party doesn’t do a better job of convicing people to dedicate themselves to building our efforts instead of tearing each other down over and over.

When Donzella lost in 2006 she claimed that Diebold stole her votes. So, I wonder what her excuse will be tonight.

It will be Bush’s fault that Donzella will lose. It is Bush’s fault that she was defeated in 2006. It is Bush’s fault that TiredDem did not know it is and was Bush’s fault already. I hate Bush!!!!!!
