Macon Telegraph endorses Dale Cardwell in U.S. Senate race

Former TV journalist Dale Cardwell just got the endorsement of the Macon Telegraph in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate:

While [Jim] Martin has the most experience in a governmental setting - with the direction our government is headed - that’s not a plus for him. And while his name recognition and experience may lead him to the nomination, we have to go with our gut feeling and try a different path.

That would mean either Dale Cardwell or Rand Knight. While Lanier has deep understanding of the pressures of Washington, it’s hard to be a real reformer when you’ve made your living from the same system he now bashes. All would shake up the Senate side of the Capitol however, particularly if they are able to successfully win without taking money from people who buy our government.

The balloting was close, but we endorse Dale Cardwell for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate.

Named for a dear friend of Thomas Jefferson, a great American, Nathaniel Macon, that beautiful city is blessed to have such a thoughtful newspaper in its midst.

Dale Cardwell is the clear, best choice for Georgia this year, to boot the Bush-lackey Chambliss from our payroll.

Meanwhile, people who love Georgia and care about our future are endorsing RAND KNIGHT! Why? Because there are few problems we face as individuals or as a society that can’t be made better by GOOD JOBS. And the good jobs of the future are GREEN JOBS: Renewable energy that we can use and sell, the recycling of waste into something useful. Improving our infrastructure to be more energy efficient. Developing technologies that protect instead of destroy the green beauty that we love in our home state. Addressing water issues to sustain our own lives, agriculture, fish, and wildlife.

The future strong American economy will be based on green jobs, green process, and the green money we’ll make doing the right things instead of the wrong things. We don’t have to continue being last. This future strong economy can begin here in Georgia when you vote for RAND KNIGHT.

I will vote for anyone other than Saxby Special Interest. I have meet Dale & have common friends, they say he is the real deal, I probably won’t decide who to vote for until about 8:00 next tuesday when I vote. In some ways with the exception of Vernon, it really does not matter who gets the Democratic nomination, to term limit Saxby 1 of the papers has to run an expo on the relationship between Saxby’s votes, lobbist son’s clients & his war chest. Billy Morris has Saxby in his back pocket, so we are down to the AJC. They were close last year with a series on Saxby’s cotton subsidies but they did not close the deal.

Hello tom ga hunter, I am Dale’s brother. I have known him for 45 years. He IS is the real deal. All my life I have looked up to our dad as the “best man” I have known. Because of the stands Dale has taken, and the strength, and energy he has put into “exposing wrong doing” I am putting Dale right up there with my dad. Thank you for your kind words. Bruce

Fooled you Bruce. I will never vote to Cardwell, he is the same as Saxby. I will vote libertarian. The AJC will give Cardwell a pass just like they did Saxby. I hate Rinos and Dems. I like to vote third party. It is a protest you know. Saxby is going to win this thing unfortunatley.

By Churchill………did you do both the Cardwell & Tom Ga Hunter?? I don’t think any of the Democrats will be as big a crook as Saxby..Have you attended any of Vernon’s down & dirty parties?? You are right about hating RHINOes.Hope you are wrong about “Special Interest”. Since you are im middle school in Clayton county did you know they are going to let you go to the 9th grade even if you fail summer school AGAIN, so you have wasted a perfectly good summer, too bad so sad..By Churchill you do spell better than I do.

Tom, you must be suffering from the paranoia, again. This is my first post on this thread. Keep chasing windmills, you idiot. I do everything better than you do, Tom. That is for certain.
