Dennis Miller finds Barr, well, normal

Georgia’s own Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party candidate for president, was on the syndicated radio show of comedian turned conservative pundit Dennis Miller on Monday and the former “Saturday Night Live” standout came away seemingly impressed that Barr was not a flame-thrower.

“You’re being much more measured than I imagined you to be,” Miller told Barr at one point. “You seem much more even-handed than I thought you were going to be.”

The bloggers at Liberty Maven thankfully captured the audio of the interview and you can listen to the full interview here.

In it, Barr and Miller cover a lot of serious ground, ranging from government surveillance to the Supreme Court’s recent decision on detainees at Guantanamo Bay. At one point, Miller asks if Barr finds himself more closely aligned with either Democrat Barack Obama or Republican John McCain. To summarize Barr’s response: No way.

Bob Barr is the man. Just say no to Amnesty ‘La Raza’ Mccain. Mccain is simply a democrat in disguise supporting the outdated ideas of Soviet big governmentism. Hopefully conservatives won’t split the vote by voting for Mccain and his anti-American pre-emptive war mindset.TRUE conservatives need to stick with Bob Barr. We need to ask ourselves “what would Thomas Jefferson do?” He certainly wouldn’t vote Mccain.

McCain is already plummeting in the polls — down by 15% in some, not surprising if you consider that before Romney dropped out 2/3 of Republicans were voting against McCain every chance they got!! Pretty soon conservatives will wake up and realize that the only thing standing between America and President Obama is Bob Barr!!

I wish Bob Barr the same success that Ru Paul had during his failed campaign. Maybe they could slap a Barr sticker on the Ru Paul blip, I mean blimp. Peace.

Bob Barr is all peachy about Georgians. He appreciates your growing support and enthusiasm and solemnly swears to continue fighting double-fisted for the little guys and the big-hearted women who stand by them making this nation great. He believes all American voices should be heard, not muted, during our tough economic times. He salutes his loyal supporters and will never turn his back on you.

Raise the Barr and Root, Root for the home team. We deserve better than the peanuts (Obama) and old crackerjacks (McCain) the media elite wants to stuff down our throat.

Go Bob Barr!

Now the conservatives are starting to catch on.

When McCain can’t win, It’s Barr or Obama. Barr’s American.
