Rasmussen: More than half of Georgia voters already view Obama ‘unfavorably’

The latest Rasmussen poll doesn’t show Georgia to be fertile battleground for Barack Obama — at least not yet.

In the first survey of the state by the polling outfit since Obama won the Democratic presidential nomination, Republican John McCain still holds a significant lead, with 51 percent compared to 41 percent for Obama.

Six percent declared themselves for another candidate — Libertarian Bob Barr was not mentioned — and 2 percent were undecided.

Two things worth noting:

— The small number of undecided voters is striking, and probably a result of the interminable national primary campaign. Which means that we could be headed for a race in which enthusiasm, or the lack of it, will count.

— The polarizing nature of this historic race has already begun. Says Rasmussen:

”While McCain’s unfavorables total 37%, over half of Georgia voters (54%) view Obama at least somewhat unfavorably.”

Obama will receive the black vote. Not on his record or his position on issues or his extremely liberal views or his close association with questionable characters but on his race alone. And we all will pay the price for having this man in office!

Dear American Voters,

Hon. Senator McCain and Obama, besides each having many attributes and characteristics. The critical differences between the two of these presidential presumptive nominees are as under:

  • Presidential “Temperament and Composer”.
  • Little Washington “insider Versus outsider” experience.
  • “Vision and mission” for our nation future rather than past.
  • American policies, ” first U.S.A Centric” than any other country [ ies ] centric.
  • In my professional opinion Senator Obama leads in all above qualities.

The need of our next movement and generation is a change. The Change in ” past Washington and its Leadership”. A change we can believe in and not the seductive, deceptive, and confusing slogan of “leader we can believe in” [? Effexor ?”.

Our Greatgrand Nation has to address many present and future challenges and start with new clean “Slate and Senator”.

God Bless America. its diverse people, and our Greatgrand Nation.

Our Greatgrand Nation is needs the CHANGE at every level and for long time.

I am sure Senator Obama with the help of Senator Clinton and her supporters, can deliver that CHANGE.

Please stay involved, stay engaged, and stay informed. Please do not allow any seduction, deception, and or confusion by some partisan media and leaders effect your vote [ Psychological Terrorism ].

    Yours truly,

COL. [retd] A.M.Khajawall Disabled American Veteran Forensic psychiatrist, Las Vegas

PS: Hon. Senator McCain is not and will not be good for America. His temper and composer will add to the problems of our Greatgrand Nation.

Georgians don’t know much about Obama besides what they hear on their favorite radio and TV stations… which, unsurprisingly, tends to skip over actual platform and policy.

For the record, Georgians don’t know McCain’s positions or record either. Just ask them!

    Hello Rasmussen:

Please, you should know better! If McCain is leading Obama by just ten points on a poll of people who voted in 2004, then it is obvious that Obama is going to win Georgia.

His campaign has to just turn out the vote on a large number of people who did not bother to vote in 2004. In 2004, with all his so-called political capital just after the Iraq invasion, George Bush managed to get only 58 percent of the votes in Georgia. McCain is surely in trouble in Georgia withe present state of the economy.

I hope you have got the message.

Over Memorial Day weekend my neighbor and I were jumped by three black males who beat us up for not allowing them access to our neighborhood pool when their access card wouldn’t work. They apparently believed that the reason we wouldn’t let them in was due to their skin color which is complet BS. I don’t let anyone in the pool area without a working access card, but anyway…..After the three black males were done hitting us and knocking us to the ground they kept yelling about how Obama would be the next president….I usually don’t vote at all because I feel that I’m always choosing between the lesser of two evils, but now I know for sure I will not be voting for Obama…

Please folks. Just take a look at where these two guys stand on the issues. McCain wants to keep Bush’s tax cuts for the richest Americans, and he’s got no problem with the out-of-control spending on Iraq, which we’ve seen is eaten up with fraud and corruption and neglect from plain old lack of oversight. If Obama does nothing but address these problems — which he claims he wants to do — then we might have a chance of climbing out of the deep dark economic hole the profligate, crony-favoring Bush (and CLinton) administrations have dug for us. But if you really think giving more money to Big Oil, and to companies that relocate out jobs out of the US is the way to go, then vote McCain, ‘cause that’s what you will get.

What are you all waiting for? Why are so many people acting like we don’t have a serious problem at hand? McCain is a fish, and he will be more of the same.

Waah! Waah! Obama’s only winning because of the media!

Waah! Waah! Obama’s only winning because he’s black! (talk about playing the race card)

His winning couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the fact that McCain, Bush, and the rest of the Republicans have run this great country into the ground over the past 8 years (6 of which they controlled both houses and the presidency).

I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that he’s presented a plan that people agree with and which makes sense.

Nope, it has to be because of the all-powerful media using its mind-control powers on people to make them choose Obama and the fact that he’s black.

You of course have a source for this claim, right?

“funny how our choice is challenged by those who support him.”

Of course it’s challenged. His supporters see something that they like in him (or that they hate in McCain) and if you don’t see the same it would make sense that they would challenge your decision, just as McCain supporters will challenge Obama supporters’ decisions. Unfortunately when Clinton began playing to people’s unease with race in KY/WV instead of leading her supporters beyond race to the issues (which in a democratic primary she should have), it gave legitimacy to these very backward reactions to Obama. (And the notion that he is socialist is just silly). Only the Clinton camp can correct what they have done. Meanwhile, Obama needs to get stronger on the economy by focusing government, healthcare and tax reform to get the load off the back’s of workers and the private businesses that can no longer afford to hire us.

How is that “change?” We’ve heard that excuse from the Bushies for years, now you’re making it for the people who actually made Whitey uncomfortable with their hate talk. Let the Obama camp “correct what they have done.”

As an Obama supporter, you’re not going to get Whitey’s vote by playing the race card or telling them their feelings are stupid. When Obama becomes President (I hope!), the race card goes away, along with (I hope) affirmative action, the Johnny Cochran defense, and all this yammering about how Whitey keepin e’erbody else down. I’m voting for Obama. Don’t ever pull that card on me again. Ever.

Blah blah blah Obama will transcend it all and unite the nation.

Blah blah blah republicans are just racist and won’t vote for a black man.

Blah blah blah Obama is for change.

If you liberal tools just actually took some time to exercise the logical parts of your brain instead of the impulsive emotional parts you might do something other than parrot what the mainstream media says within the previous week. For example all of the Obama contradictions you consistently defend yet attack others for the exact same situations. It’s just amusing knowing what the liberal arguments will be by just reading up on news from the last few days. I’ve given up trying to debate with Obama supporters with logic since logic is pretty useless against blind idealism. Idealist eutopia is to liberals as god is to conservatives; unquestionable and backed up by “faith.” Remember that when you criticize conservatives on god issues.

What would the White House look like with Obama as president?

Aside from bringing radicals, corrupt or questionable characters into his administration, a first priority will be “reparatiions” (still an issue for many African-Americans)and amnesty for illegals from all countries.

Taxes will go through the roof as will “affirmative action” programs.

Our international relations, such as they are, will bog down in “diplomatic discussions” with our enemies as we lose the few friends we have. The dollar will continue to weaken and oil will continue its upward spiral while “debate” continues on alternative energy solutiions.

What will happen if Obama is NOT elected? Americans will be labeled as racists by the black community, the U.N., and some countries. Will blacks riot in the streets?

McCain is only a half-jump better and not worth voting for, so we’re in trouble. Question is, how did we manage to nominate the worst of a bad lot - when so many candidates were available? What were we thinking or as Adolf Hitler once said, “its a good thing the people don’t think”.

To clarify my statement regarding eutopia and god I don’t have issues with belief in god or idealism. Although it is poisonous to some for a lot of people it makes them treat others better and makes them a better person. That in no way is a bad thing.

What I do have an issue with is how people want to tell everyone else how to think and live in their private lives. We need to learn to agree to disagree more. One thing I think liberals fail to realize is that to a lot of people massive wealth distribution is a form of slavery; just slavery without violence. Why should someone who works hard their whole life to make a comfortable living for their family have to shell out their savings to people that refuse to take responsibility, don’t want to get an education, and want to waste their money and then ask for handouts?

Even though there are tens of trillions of dollars at stake we are somehow supposed to accept it without thorough scientific evidence. The “consensus” is far from a consensus as the 31,000+ US scientists who have signed a petition against it can attest to.

For years, Whites have supported Whites, Jews have supported Jews, Hispanics have supported Hispanics, this was considered a standard, however, when Blacks began imitating society, (Black people supporting Black people), it is criticized and frowned upon. Statements such as, “They [Blacks] just want Obama to win because he is Black.” is in my opinion, hypocritical. For centuries, people have preferred to live among their own race, worship with their own race, socialize with their own race and so on. So, now that the Black race has heard society loud and clear and heeded to the message of separation of man by the color of his skin, why are we being criticized? When I read or hear people say, “They are voting for him [Obama] because he is Black”, I hear the loud, high- pitch scream of JIM CROW and nothing more. OBAMA ‘08

Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

A lot of Americans have become so insulated from reality that they imagine that America can suffer defeat without any inconvenience to themselves. These events are actual events from history.

  • 1968 Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed by Muslim male extremist between the ages of 17 and 40.

  • In 1972 at the Munich Olympics, athletes were kidnapped and massacred by Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.

  • In 1979, the US embassy in Iran was taken over by Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.

  • During the 1980’s a number of Americans were kidnapped in Lebanon by Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.

  • In 1983, the US Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.

  • In 1985 the cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked and a 70 year old American passenger was murdered and thrown overboard in his wheelchair by Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.

  • In 1985 TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens, and a US Navy diver trying to rescue passengers was murdered by Muslim male extremists between th e ages of 17 and 40.

  • In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.

  • In 1993 the World Trade Center was bombed the first time by Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.

  • In 1998, the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.

  • On 9/11/01, four airliners were hij acked; two were used as missiles to take down the World Trade Centers and of the remaining two, one crashed into the US Pentagon and the other was diverted and crashed by the passengers. Thousands of people were killed by Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.

  • In 2002 the United States fought a war in Afghanistan against Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.

  • In 2002 reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and murdered by— you guessed it— Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40.

  • No, I really don’t see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? &n bsp;So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people… Absolutely No Profiling!

They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President’s security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winne r and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest they be guilty of profiling.

According to The Book of Revelations:

The Anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal.. ..the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, he will destroy everything.

And Now: For the award winning Act of Stupidity
Of all times the People of America want to elect, to the most Powerful position on the face of the Planet — The Presidency of the United states of America

Year 2000, John McCain on Republican Christians:

…but political intolerance by any political party is neither a Judeo-Christian nor an American value.

The political tactics of division and slander are not our values, they are…

They are corrupting influences on religion and politics, and those who practice them in the name of religion or in the name of the Republican Party or in the name of America shame our faith, our party and our country.

    The original ends with:

“For the award winning Act of Stupidity Of all times the People of America want to elect, to the most Powerful position on the face of the Planet — The Presidency of the United states of America… A Muslim Male Extremist Between the ages of 17 and 40!”

”While McCain’s unfavorables total 37%, over half of Georgia voters (54%) view Obama at least somewhat unfavorably.”

First, it’s an invalid comparison that leads to a false conclusion. Of that 54% cited, how many really view Obama unfavorably? I’ll bet it’s less than 54%. So they skew the data to get the answer they want in the press. Sounds like Faux News to me.

Second, it’s no big surprise that a white man has a big lead over a non-white. This is the racist, backward, redneck south. No wonder the Rethuglicons have a lock on the state.

When you vote Rethuglicon, you vote against your own best interests. And John McCain is “living” proof.

I am a native Georgian and this state has become more backwards and hate-filled by the year. Everyone else is moving forward while we continue to go backwards. It’s embarassing. I remember the good ole days when we used to feel superior to Alabama and Mississippi and now they are saying “Thank God for Georgia, or else we would be the most racist, regressive, illiterate state in the nation.”

I am starting to see why the housing crisis, according to the news and some local so called community leaders, affected one particular group of people more than others. They apparently didn’t understand what interest rates were and how interest rates determined your monthly mortgage payments which in turn affects and impacts your life and your standard of living. These same good folk don’t seem to be concerned that Obama will surely raise you social security taxes as well as your capitol gaines taxes on even the most modest investments. Did you folk not learn when the bank tossed you out on the streets after you blindly signed on the dotted line for a home loan at double digit interest rates. Who are you going to blame this time when you see you taxes go up and take home pay go down? Don’t get too intoxicated on the kool-aide you all are drinking. You have been warned.

These findings are of no surprise from a state where 60% of the people feel the Governor is do a good job. This opinion is about a Governor, who by any reasonable measure, is a dismal failure whether about our roadt/ransportation system/education/ jobs creation, the environment, to name a few.

We have got to do a better job at judging talent for elective office. Passion, ignorance, and hate are the killers. They are winds that blow out the light of the mind.

Until we voters become more knowledgeable and less passionate, we will continue to be played by all parties.

Just reading through these comments makes me feel sick. Have I traveled through a time warp to the year 1950? Keep on holding on to your racist rhetoric, the truth is that Obama will do more to help the plight of the working-class than McCain will.

And to all you geniuses buying the “Obama is a Muslim” spiel are ignorant and should really do some research. So he’s linked to a crazy Protestant pastor whose church he attended for 20 years, but he’s also really a Muslim? Huh?

If Obama wasn’t patriotic, THEN HE WOULDN’T BE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT. What’s so difficult to understand here?

And Georgians wonder why the rest of us think they’re out of touch, racist hicks…

Having been raised in the church, I will remind you that NOwhere in the book of Revelations does it say the Antichrist will be a Muslim. But I guess the truth (oh, sweet irony) doesn’t matter when you’re trying to spread your bigoted hate.

A black man is going to be our next President. The sooner you all get used to that, the sooner we’ll be able to band together to solve the very serious issues facing America today.

Look at the ideas, look what these men stand for. Obama will raise taxes, and everyone should know that raising taxes during an economic slowdown will end in disaster (Michigan today, Jimmy Carter). Obama thinks high gas prices are good. (he said it, not me). He will also defer to the UN on all military matters(also something he said early in the campaign). He also appears to be an open border guy based on statements during the primary. His abortion stance is also crazy, live birth from a botched aportion gets no medical attention. (LIVE BIRTH) He perfers judges who will legislate from the bench (he said it) He will also raise taxes on businesses (knowing businesses don’t pay taxes, consumers do, they pass the taxes on to us), he will also expand social programs that will put our country deeper in dept, unless serious cuts are made in other areas. The cash going to the war will not get even come close to pay for the new programs. Can we please get a president who will address the national debt, be responsible with OUR money, and stop pushing class warfare? Neither candidate is pushing to pay down our national debt and the 9 trillion is sinking our economy.

From wikipedia: As of 2008, Scott Rasmussen is the CEO of Rasmussen Reports (a separate company) and describes himself as having been an independent public opinion pollster for more than a decade.[6] He received $95,500 from the Republican National Committee and $45,500 from the George W. Bush presidential campaign as a campaign consultant for the 2004 presidential election.[7]

Rasmussen showed his colors in his willingness to help treason from homosexual, 9/11-committing draft-dodger George W. Bush, and has contrived this poll to “whistle past the graveyard.”

Martin, a legitimate Veteran and friend of the People, will win over scumbag Bush-pal Chambliss at a walk, barring a repeat of the vote fraud in 2000 and 2004…despite what a committed Republican hack has to say in his fraud of a “poll.”
