Peering into the vice presidential fog
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Sen. Kent Conrad of North Dakota has told CNN that the Obama team vetting vice presidential candidates has passed 20 names to members of Congress, roughly divided into three categories: current officials, former lawmakers and “former top military leaders.”
And MSNBC’s First Read says the surprise name that’s surfaced belongs to “Ret. Gen. James Jones, the former Marine-turned-NATO Supreme Allied Commander.”
Other names? “Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, John Edwards, Evan Bayh, Kathleen Sebelius, Ted Strickland, Mark Warner, Tim Kaine, Jim Webb, Bill Nelson, Jack Reed, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, Tom Daschle, and” — of course — “Sam Nunn.”

Maybe they should concentrate on someone who is really good at telling us ” What Mr. Obama really meant was—- and what you heard was not really what he said”.

Obama… canNOT choose Clinton. She has said a few times (before she started choosing her words more carefully) said that he was not qualified. That would be too much firepower for McCain (not that I am pro-Obama).
However.. Sam Nunn would be an interesting choice. Surprised that Richardson is not on the list. Some believe he is the most obvious choice due to his Foreign Policy experience. Something Obama will need to rely on his VP for.
I think McCain will go with Crist. The reasons are just too obvious.

If he wants the back-bone of Hillary’s supporters, he better choose her. The way Hillary was treated in the primary process left a very bad taste in my mouth for the Democratic party. At this point I will either stay home or vote for McCain. McCain and Hillary have the experience, and experience matters.

Pay no attention to that fake @ 5:23.
A real Hillary supporter would never vote for McCain.
The back-bone of Hillary supporters understand that the right to choose and the rights of women are more important than any one person. We are not as shallow as the fake Hillary supporter.
Enough of the fake outrage.

My outrage is not fake. And you “REAL” supporters ignore it at you own peril.

The true peril lies in casting a vote for someone who’s going to continue the insanity that we’ve been forced to endure for the last 7 years 8 months 23 days, and 43 minutes. Hold on, I’m checking my watch for the seconds.

I think that Obama should pick a Christian. Since Obama is a Muslim it would make for a balanaced ticket.
Imagine how the world will respect us if we have a muslim President and a Christian Vice President. Oh.. the diversity.

For a balanced ticket the Muslim should choose a Jew. Leiberman would have been a good one but the other guy has dibs on him.
