Another Georgia superdelegate comes out for Obama

Georgia’s down to a single Democratic superdelegate who hasn’t declared himself.

Richard Ray, president of the Georgia AFL-CIO, just called to say that — with Hillary Clinton about to bow out — he’s no longer on the fence.

“I will be supporting Mr. Barack Obama,” Ray said. “He’s going to be the nominee. He’s something that the American people are looking for. He’s certainly capable and has shown leadership in the last trying weeks of this campaign.”

Only yesterday, even after national Democratic leaders pressed remaining uncommitted superdelegates to remove any question of Obama’s nomination, Ray had hinted he wouldn’t make a choice until next week.

But late Wednesday afternoon, the Hillary Clinton campaign let it be known that she would concede the race before a rally of supporters on Saturday.

“That leaves one candidate, and it freed me up,” Ray said.

Ray was one of three uncommitted superdelegates from Georgia. Former President Jimmy Carter cast his lot with Obama on Tuesday, after the last two primary votes.

Only U.S. Rep. Jim Marshall of Macon remains uncommitted.

Obama did not get the Democratic nomination fair and square. It was a rigged nomination for Obama. Sen. Clinton never stood a chance of winning the nomination. This was indicated by the sabotaging early calls for her to drop out and ended with almost all of the sabotaging, uncommitted superdelegates, showing no integrity, endorsing Obama. OBAMA GOT THE NOMINATION BECAUSE OF A RIGGED, CORRUPT DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

Hillary Clinton supporters should work for Obama’s resounding defeat and vote for McCain. I will volunteer and vote for McCain in a swing state.

The pro-Obama biased media simply reflected the rigged innards of the Democratic Party against Sen. Clinton.

A crushing defeat is needed to repudiate the rigged, corrupt Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party is in need of radical reform with the elimination of the superdelegates, the caucuses, and the proportional allocation system.

Marshall is such a coward… What is he afraid of? Now that his vote doesnt mean anything… where is he?

This mush be like when Mac asked if he would vote for Pelosi and Marshall refused to answer… and SHOCKER he votes for Pelosi as speaker! Marshall grab a pair and come out for Obama.

obama did not win by fair means . he used all wicked tactics and race in particular to achieve his goal. IT WAS RACISM IN REVERSE WHEN BLACK DELEGATES WERE INTIMIDATED TO FORCE THEM TO VOTE FOR OBAMA> WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CLINTON LOYALTY IN BLACKS> DOES IT PROVE THE FACTS THAT MOST BLACKS BETRAYED THE PERSON WHO STOOD FOR THEM AND YOU CAL IT AMERICA. despite all the ugly things he just managed to scrap through. without hillar he is heading for defeat. although it vwill bad for the country but dems do need a lesson to learn and his defeat in november will be the best lesson for these old goons i always had great regard for clintons and it has gone deeper bhagwan deol. los angeles

Keep saying that, Bhagwan. President Obama won over the voters and Hillary didn’t. Bitterness won’t change that.

Before I googled Obama, I read all about Marxism, socialism, etc. Read about it….learn about it….it is so wrong…..so scary. Don’t you all know that Hillary and Obama are exactly the same…..Who cares who wins the nomination? Who cares about race, gender? It doesn’t matter….their bottom line is the same!!! Bad for America! Bad for Americans! Don’t believe their rhetoric, their “manifesto”.
