Gingrich: Barr will make Obama’s job ‘marginally easier’

Bob Barr will be up in New York next week, making his Libertarian case on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” and “The Glenn Beck Program” on Headline News.

(Note to campaign manager: Make sure candidate has laminated copy of Ten Commandments in shirt pocket.)

So far, Republicans are aware of Barr and his presidential bid — but aren’t hyperventilating.

“Bob Barr will make it marginally easier for Barack Obama to become president,” said former House speaker Newt Gingrich, quoted on a Newsweek blog.

The “one big reason” that Republicans aren’t terribly worried, according to author Andrew Romano:

”Ron Paul. With his cult-hero bid for the White House, Paul has done more this year than any of his predecessors to popularize Libertarian ideas—no foreign interventions, minimal government, a return to the gold standard.

“But the trouble is, he ran (and is still running) as a Republican, and shows no signs of abandoning his party. If Paul continues his campaign through the GOP convention, as he’s already promised, he’ll monopolize much of the newly-unleashed Libertarian energy — the record-breaking donations, the clever online organizing, the passionate activism — at least through September.”

So, according to this theory, these GOP activists who want Paul to concede to Republican presumptive John McCain are actually working against McCain’s best interests. Keep Paulistas busy trying to crack the doors to the GOP convention, and you keep them out of Barr’s campaign.

Will Nader’s run make it marginally easier for McCain?

Newt never did like Barr.

Newt should go back under the rock that he slinked out of. He failed conservatives when it mattered most.

We don’t need to make it easier for McLame to lose… he’s already done that for himself, and Bush’s “help” only seals the deal.

This country will never elect a muslim to the presidency. Obama can fake like he went to church for 20 years, but it was for show. If he was there to listen he would have realized that Rev. Wright was full of crap. He wasn’t listening because he is a Muslim, and didn’t bother to hear the message. McCain, not my favorite person, will win. This country is not ready for the “change” Obama is promising. I hope it is not too late for Hillary.

First off, Obama ain’t a Muslim. After all, how do we know you’re not faking being sentient? You are demonstrating the illusory capacity of your self awareness merely by suggesting that he is.

Second off, I keep hearin’ this word ‘never’ but I don’t think you know what it means.

Man will never fly.

Man will never walk on the moon.

This country would never let a president get away with that without impeaching him.

They might be jerks sometimes, but they would never just ignore that much of the population.

People in this country would never let someone starve to death.

People would never let that happen to children.

God would never let that happen to the United States. He’s protecting us.

‘Never’ is a word that should never be said.

Especially by people who think that Barack Obama is a “zecrit muzzim.”

There you go again with that illusion of sentience. I knew a sentient being sir, and let me assure you, you are no sentient being! Ask not what your sentience can do for you, but what you can do to achieve sentience!

I saw Hillary dressed up as Hillary.

Does that mean that she’s secretly a Hillary?

I wouldn’t want to judge.

It means that Obama is a Muslim. I will judge that. Hello, his middle name is Hussein!!!!!!! The man didn’t even understand what was said in a “Christian” church. Hillary is our only chance to beat the repubs. Obama cannot win middle class white votes. It is that simple. Look at the electoral map. This country will not elect a Muslim.

Geez, Hillary must be a Muslim also. I saw a picture of her with a scarf on her head when she visited the Middle East. And, Bush holds hands with the Saudia’s. He must secretly be a Muslim as well. My god, you people must have been educated by Georgia public schools if you actually believe the b.s. you write.

I dressed up as a cat for a party in October. I must secretly be a cat, then. Hide your Friskies! Can’t fool you, can I?

I will say this much. Every time I heard, “This is a republic, not a democarcy” what I really heard was, “We should only have people that agree with me in power, not the popular majority.”

Well, actually, after seeing the uneducated freaks that support Hillary at this point, I now think that’s a good idea. Quite frankly, if you can’t figure out that a picture of Obama in a turban doesn’t make him a Muslim, then you shouldn’t be voting.

And I’ve spent my entire life encouraging people to vote, heck, even if you didn’t support a candidate, writing in ‘none of the above’

Not any more. I have proudly called myself liberal even though I was a conservative because other conservatives were F*ers. I am now proudly calling myself an elitist because if you morons are an example of the common man, then we’re better off without you.

Stay home, or be even stupider and vote for McCain. Then don’t complain when your children are sent to a new war.

(Of course you will complain because you’re STOOOOOOOOOOP** (and the last two letters aren’t ‘er’)
