Barr, too: Bring ‘em home
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Denver - Bob Barr, too, advocated for bringing American troops home from far flung bases around the world.
“We have a department of defense. We have a national defense policy. What’s missing is an emphasis on the word ‘defense,’” Barr said. “It is not a defensive policy. It is not defending the United States of America to do what candidate George Bush said we should not do, and that’s occupy foreign nations.”
Barr said U.S. troops should be removed from bases in Japan, Korea, Australia, “you name it.”
But, Barr said, woe unto those who bring the fight to America.
“Somebody attacks us, by go,d we go after them and we attack them, but we do not use those tax dollars offensively, because it is, offensive.”

I think Barr hit it on the head Obama and McCain are both for keeping us the policeman of the world they are no different. Obama says he wants to end the war but would not leave for years and actually said he would attack Pakistan. Obviously McCain is a war advocate on every level and would keep us at war for 10 more years.

Bob Barr is not my favorite candidate from this election cycle. However, he most closely represents my views on war (bring em home now), fiscal responsibility (the excess spending has to stop), and civil liberties (we are losing ours as we speak). McCain doesn’t seem to realize that war spending is detrimental to our economy, and Obama has so many social programs we would bankrupt our nation on welfare. Between the two, the only difference is what they want to spend your money on. Remember that government does not create anything. The only thing they have to give is what they take from you. Government is not the answer, it is the problem.

Awesome. FINALLY a conservative enters the race. Mccain is anti-conservative and anti-American. Im not sure how any sane conservative could vote for him when he is clueless on the presidency handbook…the constitution. Please conservatives do not split the conservative vote by voting for Amnesty Mccain and therefore empowering La Raza and making citizens out of MS-13. Vote for a real conservative, which is Barr. Voting for Mccain and his lunatic global welfarism is going to put Obama into the white house and Mccain knows this. REAL conservatives won’t be voting for Mccain,Amnesty, neo-colonialism,lawlessness and govt expansion.
