An attempt to shut down a Democratic state House candidate

Someone, perhaps a friend of a friend of Republican Mike Jacobs, has challenged the residency of Keith Gross, the Democrat in the House District 80 race in north Atlanta.

Filed with Secretary of State Karen Handel, the complaint alleges that 24-year-old Gross still has a Florida drivers license.

Jacobs is scared to face the voters after lying to them. He should have stepped down when he switched parties and given the constituents a say. But then that takes character.

Jacobs wishes! Gross has lived there long enough - he was knocking on doors in his neightborhood right after he moved in. Jacobs knows he’s going to lose and this is all he can come up with. I can’t wait for November!

You people are crazy! This Gross kid (24 years old) was driving around just a few weeks ago with Florida plates on his car and still has a Florida Drivers License. If he is legally a Georgia resident, then he has broken the law by not paying Georgia taxes for his car tag. He is either a Florida resident, or a tax cheat. Either way, this is extremely shady.

“Extremely shady’? Oh please! Your over-reaction to this makes me suspect that you are close to Jacobs. I doubt you have ever seen Gross’s car or license.

Let’s face it, Jacobs got elected on one platform, but he’s now changed it because he wants to run for a different (higher) office. In doing so, he has used & discarded the people who voted for him. We want someone who will stick true to his (and our) values!

As much as I would like to see Jacobs lose, this challenge to Gross’ residency seems like a valid one. Whatever happened to Michelle Conlon? I met her at a Democratic party event last fall, and thought she was going to run for Jacobs’ seat.

I HAVE seen this guys car and car tag. I was in a parking lot one day when a car drove by, with a Keith Gross sticker and a Florida tag. It parked and HE popped out of it. This was less than one month ago. I didn’t think much of it until I saw this article. So , Mr Irate, before you start making accusations about others, maybe you should go ask this kid if he is a Florida resident or a tax cheat.

Gross is nothing more than a Florida Carpetbagger. He has no clue about the district or anything about our legislature or Georgia. Send him back to Florida where he belongs.

Making accusations about others without proof, lol? That’s exactly what you are doing about Keith Gross.

I just want some evidence. Get photos of him and the car, with the license and tags visible. I’ll be happy to believe you.

Otherwise, we will all think that you are just a political operative working for the Jacobs campaign.
