Morning polls on the Democratic race for Senate, GOP maneuverings for governor
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Matt Towery’s InsiderAdvantage has done some overnight polling on the Democratic race for the U.S. Senate and the Republican side of a budding 2010 race for governor.
MOE for the 400-respondent survey is 5 percent. Towery’s Democratic numbers show all the candidates have much work to do, even though they have little money to do it: Vernon Jones, 21 percent; Dale Cardwell, 14 percent; Josh Lanier, 5 percent;
Jim Martin, 3 percent; Rand Knight, 1 percent, and undecided, 56 percent.
According to Towery, if the 2010 GOP primary for governor were held today, undecided, at 41 percent, would walk into a runoff with Casey Cagle or John Oxendine, both at 17 percent.
As for the others, Jack Kingston stands at 10 percent, Karen Handel at 7 percent, Lynn Westmoreland at 6 percent, and Jerry Keen at 2 percent.

Martin is at rock bottom in the polls. That is right where he belongs with his liberal trial lawyer buddies. He is out of touch and over the hill.

Jones’ lead could be attributed to name recognition only. Gossip alone could account for a majority of those who say they recognize his name. Wouldn’t everyone also recognize Ron Sailer?

Serious questions have been raised about Insider Advantage’s polling methodology…SEE…Pollster.com’s analysis. Ergo, any results they produce should be taken with a grain of salt.

Mableton Mom ………What is your problem with trial lawyers?? Saxby is owned by a BUNCH of out of state special interest but you never mention that.. Doesn’t 1 special interest cost the taxpayers less?? Saxby’s big war chest has cost us plenty with the Georgia small farmers & taxpayers footing the bill..What canadate is more liberal than borrow & spend Chambliss?

The “serious issues” about InsiderAdvantage polls come from one guy, Mark Blumenthal, who by “chance” worked on campaigns with a discontented leader for a recently failed Democratic Governor. Since the firm picked the winner in all but one primary/caucus this season, Mr. Blumenthal has lost a great deal of crediblity.Those who post this almost unknown “mystery pollster” who is devoted to libeling the most successful polling firm in the history of the South know who they are…and so do those who have put over $11millin into making InsiderAdvantage the first major non-partisan polling firm in the South. And by the way…has anyone looked into the impending deal between IA and a some of the biggest names in international journalism? Whoever posted this is about to look like a fool.
