According to Rasmussen: Chambliss safe, so far, but Perdue’s numbers have slipped
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Rasmussen Reports has a Georgia survey that shows U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss with a comfortable lead over three of the five Democrats in the race.
Says Rasmussen:
Chambliss now leads Dale Cardwell 51% to 37%, Vernon Jones 58% to 30% and Jim Martin 54% to 33%. Those figures are very similar to results from a month ago .
Cardwell has the highest favorability ratings of the Democratic challengers, but he receives positive reviews from just 35% of voters statewide. Martin is viewed favorably by 34%, Jones by 30%.
None of the Democrats break into double digits in the Very Favorable category. by 15%. Cardwell and Martin are each viewed that positively by 9%, Jones by 8%.
When it comes to Very Unfavorable ratings, Jones is at 30%, Martin 16%, and Cardwell 15%.
There are also signs that Gov. Sonny Perdue may have been hit — ever so slightly — by shrapnel from this last session of the General Assembly. Perdue, Rasmussen says:
earns good or excellent ratings from 49% of Georgia voters. That’s down from 55% a month ago. Just 17% give him a poor rating. Up four since March. Nearly a third, 32%, give him a more neutral assessment and say the Governor is doing a fair job.

Saxby Chambliss is doing well in the polls because he is doing such a great job in Washington representing common sense Georgia Values.
Yesterday’s agreement on the Farm Bill, a piece of legislation critical to Georgia’s number one industry, was just one more example of how effective Saxby is.
Plain and simple, Saxby gets the job done!

I hate to admit it, but Dale has made significant inroads in our assumed base. Add to that Vernon’s strength in the Metro area…and we do have an uphill battle.

Saxby stands for our military, our future, and the citizens of GA.
He is a leader in the Senate Agriculture Committee, and the Armed Services Committee.
Keep on working Saxby!

Both our U.S. Senators are as close to being statesmen as anyone in Washington. They work tirelessly for our state and country.

I think Saxby’s most honest hour was when he stood up with McCain and Kennedy ( and Isakson) to try to sell us amnesty for illegal aliens.
We will have to wait until after the election for him to do that again. But not long after.

I have been saying that his seat was safe for months. Why do you think te DNC is having an “arms length” attitude towards this race. What a news flash!!!

It will be interesting to see if W actually vetoes Saxby’s big screwing of the small farmer & taxpayer.. $500,000,000 for race horses $0 for the vets..

Chambliss polling ahead is no suprise.
It is suprising that Chambliss leads Cardwell 51% to 37%.
You would think that a Republican incumbent in the reddest of red states would have a much bigger lead.
Not the best endorsement of Chambliss’ job performance.
Another sign of how bleak things could be for the Republicans in the fall congressional races.

That Atlanta can take its rightful place as “Wheelhorse” for Georgia and America pulling Our Great State and Nation out of the “ditch” into which GOP traitors, hypocrites, liars, perverts and thieves drove us…

I hope Jim Martin wins because I’m anxious to see Saxby tear down the patriotism and courage of another war hero. I don’t understand why those flaming liberal picko Georgia Democrats bother to put up veterans like Jim Martin, Billy Gillespe and Jim Martin. Don’t they realize a chickhawk Republican in this state has ten times the patriotism of a decorated Democratic war hero. I’m also concerned about Saxby’s knees because he’ll need to do a lot of walking this campaign season. If he was unable to serve his country in his 20’s because of them I’m concerned he can’t campaign for Senate in his 60’s. We can’t have Saxby dodging this election. Our state depends on him.

Saxby is not only outraising his opponents, he is outworking them. While the Floundering Five have nothing to do but campaign, Saxby comes home from Washington on the weekend and runs circles around them.

If, ,tom ga hunter, is a conservative Republican. Then I am a proud voting Democrat voter. Tom only gripes about Republicans. Nothin from him about the racsism and sexism of the left. Nothing from him about supporting the troops. Nothing from him about the gang of 4 plus one perv (Jones) running as democrats for GA to the US Senate. Tom, is it just all Republican sour grapes with you? Let me guess, you are a Ru Paul supporter. Right?

JONES WOULD BE NO WORSE THAN SAXBY & WOULD TEACH jOHNNY A REAL LEASON TO GET RIGHT BE A REAL CONSERVATIVE.
i HAVE A REAL PROBLEM WITH THE BIG SPENDING, BIG GOVERNMENT, PRO IMMIGRATION WING OF WHAT IS CALLED THE REPUBLICAN PARTY WHICH SAXBY IS A CHARTER MEMBER. lIKE ALL REAL REPUBLICANS I DID NOT HAVE A SUITABLE PRIMARY CANADATE TO VOTE FOR THIS YEAR & WILL VOTE FOR BOB (NONE OF THE ABOVE) BARR IN THE GENERAL ELECTION.

PS I have 1 of those $5,000 picture with Regan, do you.. My 1st political experience was working for a real man Barry Goldwater, what was yours? you young “Republicans” don’t know what a great party we had before the big spenders destroyed it.

Churchill ,,,,,,,,,,I assume that you are a young man who is not mature enough to know the difference between sour grapes & facts, so here are the facts.. We have 2 men, Vernon & Saxby who call their self conservatives. Both are big government big spending LIBERALS but Vernon has balanced a budget while Saxby has never balanced a federal budget. Saxby is for open border immigration while Vernon is not. Both sell their votes with Saxby more expensive because he has a lobbiest son. Bottom line..Vernon is the most conservative of these 2 but if you want to vote for a LIBERAL with a R by his name Saxby is your man. Personally I am going to look at the 3 moderate Democrats & vote for the 1 that’s closest to conservative.. Hope this is not over your head.

O.K. It is sour grapes. You are attempting to correlate Saxby and Vernon? My youth is not the issue. The issue is your age! Tom it is sad when those we love start slipping. Ask your loved ones if there have been any changes. Saxby is the polar oppisite of Vernon, the Perv. Tom, you should hunt yourself a shrink. Pronto. What consevative would would consider voting for any of the Democrat candidates for US Senate? Peace.

Tom you are a lib. Everything you post is the standard lib line. Be proud of your poitical position. No need to pretend you are conservaitve. It does not influence anyone to claim that you are a Republican and then bash our party or candidates (nice try though). Plus, my party would be happy to excrete you. Peace.

Saxby should be worried. His blind support for Bush’s illegal disaster in Iraq, his inability to approve legislation on immigration, and his battle with Bush over the farm bill will be his downfall.
Watch my short videos about Chambliss.

O.K., Tom, Saxby is not as conservative as I would like him to be, but I will not voice my disapproval by voting for some lib democrat. Saxby is not liberal, at worst he may be a “moderate” Republican, but that is a stretch. Do you remember 1992? Ticked off conseratives flocked to Perot, and handed B.J. Clinton the win. Is this some sort of “cut off your nose to spite your face” deal will you?
I was right, it is sour grapes.

Considering this report on Acropolis Review, it’s a miracle that Chambliss is still being taken seriously. Surely, we have someone better on offer in Georgia. http://acropolisreview.com/2008/04/senate-democrats-investigate-taxpayer.html

Churchill ……….Saxby is no moderate he is a borrow & spend LIBERAL.. Georgia will be much better with anything else. Otherwise this bunch of pols will think their behavior is acceptable. As you know Saxby has not even delivered the bacon for Ga. just his out of state Partons. What did we get out of the transportation bill?

So according to your logic, we need to replace one lib with another one? I have a real hard time believing that you are a conservative. Why would you vote for the more liberal candidate?? Makes no sense, unless you’re lib. Peace.
