Lanier to make five, with a Saxby-Osama kick-off
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Josh Lanier, a former congressional staff member and Vietnam veteran from Statesboro, rounds out the Democratic Five in the U.S. Senate race this morning.
He’s kicked off his campaign with an ironic video that harkens back to the Max Cleland-Saxby Chambliss race of 2002, but this time placing Osama bin Laden and Republican incumbent Chambliss in the same spot.
“The original smear has bothered me for years. Return to sender,” Lanier said in a fax this morning.

I didn’t know what to think of this ad when I saw it. I didn’t live in Georgia when Saxby beat Max but after surfing the net and doing my research I think that the ad makes sense now. The orignal ad showed an actual war-hero named Max Cleland and spewed lies about him…this ad hits closer to the mark with Saxby being the one who doesnt like the troops…trust me I am a veteran…

Nice. Good to see some on-target ads about Bush’s s** (the poodle role was already taken). Yappy little senator who consistently has voted on the wrong side of reality. Even another Republican would be a better choice, if another Republican had the guts to campaign against him.

GO, JOSH! When the people of Georgia voted for the Slimey Snake Chambliss, while putting $2 magnets on their cars about how they “support the troops,” I lost faith in the people of Georgia. Will I get it back this year?

Saxby co-sponsored the sole survivor act, he also introduced legislation to expand guard and reserve retirement benefits to include duty performed after september 11, 2001.
Saxby received the Military Officers Association’s Col. Arthur T. Marix Congressional Leadership Award.
How wrong could this video be? At least Saxby can defend himself, unlike Max…

Max Cleland was kicked out of office for his voting against our troops numerous times due to his being in the pockets of big labor.
Saxby Chambliss has been one of the biggest supporters of our troops in Washington. Numerous military organizations have given him awards recognizing his unwavering support.
Saxby’s Wounded Warrior Act is one of many that he has either introduced or supported that show his efforts on behalf of those serving in harms way.
This “ad” is a farce.

Go out to Augusta & ask some of the wounded vet. & you’ll get a very different view of the draft dodger.I voted against Max because he voted against the Boy Scouts, we all made a big mistake, none of knew that Saxby would turn out to be a big spending, pro immigration LIBERAL. I won’t repeat that mistake again

Saxby is a disgrace for the ads he ran against Cleland. I will gladly pony up money to whoever runs against him in the general.
Remember, Saxby could not be bothered to serve in Vietnam- he got a medical deferment for his knees. Yet he is an avid jogger and golfer at his advanced age. I don’t think his knees were his problem.

Although Mr Kinnan was a war hero he was also a VP at Lockheed, 1 of Saxby’s Partons. They were simply trying to cover their paid for erron boy. Anyone who is familiar with the VA knows it’s in a mess but Saxby is more interested in spending OUR tax money on race hourses in the AG bill than barve woulded troopers. Below is the result of a google search of Kinann
Until February 2007 he was Vice President, C4ISR at Lockheed Martin Corporation.

I have hope that GA Democrat voters will choose Vernon Jones to run against Saxby.

Love the Ad. Josh Lanier knows that he is not going to win, as he is only accepting $100 donations, but he is in it to make a point: SAXBY is a horrible senator. This is especially important cause the front runners are a bunch of losers. I mean, the folks the dems have are horrible. So, at least make people know how bad Saxby is so that maybe next time we can beat him.
