Richardson urges House workers to telecommute, and says state agencies, others should do the same

Given that gasoline is topping $3.50 a gallon, Speaker Glenn Richardson just announced that he’ll allow House employees to work one day a week from home.

Here’s the memo.

Said Richardson:

“If they are not already, I urge other state agencies, state government departments, and public and private companies to consider implementing a similar plan so that all Georgians can experience some relief at the pump.”

Great idea! Richardson got some unfairly bad press, but lately he’s not coming across as such a spud. I really like this story.

Maybe the Speaker can spend his extra day off shacked up with another lobbyist girlfriend.

Maybe he can, maybe he can…a fiendish maneuver. That’s the shield you get when you have 1000 different ID’s. None of them carry any weight. Not like your easy to make a fool of ID over at wooten.

what a fall guy, he swings at EVERYTHING!!

But dont worry. U dont matter. nobody’s going to do squit to your precious ID.

A good and timely move. Do nothing Perdue promised the same during his first term but like some other promises of his, it went by the way-side.

Does this new mandate apply to Richardson’s state paid driver? If it does that would be great!! One less day a week of the Speaker in Atlanta could only help the state govt. (however: you got to feel sorry for his constitutents having him town one more day a week. Oh well someone is going to have to suffer….It might as well be you since you sent this shrill guy to Atlanta.)

On this day in 1894, my grandpappy landed on the American shore. He could of changed me last name, probably just the same. My pappy was illegal from his head to his toes. So welcome to all I say today. For my pappy would be proud. Come one come all it’s the land of the free.
