Heads up: Dick Cheney to headline Georgia GOP bash
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
We’re hearing that Vice President Dick Cheney will make his way to Atlanta next March 10 as the keynote speaker at the state GOP’s annual Presidents Day fund-raiser. Look for the vice president to serve as John McCain’s attack dog until the presumptive Republican nominee settles on a running mate of his own.
We don’t have a locale for you yet. So far, we’ve heard of no plans to close Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

Dear Cheney’s Mother: I’ve always wondered, was Satan any good in the sack, or did he just knock you up and leave the money on the table? Signed, Curious in Georgia.

The fact that surrogates from the Bush administration can still draw a crowd in this state is domonstrable evidence of the fact that Georgia’s ruling class not only slept through the 2006 revolution but is still asleep.
This cocky crowd is really banking on the stupidity of Georgia’s electorate. They have blown a golden opportunity and if the Democrats have a half decent slate of congressional and statehouse candidates they can retake the state.
In short, pain of the current economic conditions, as well as poor performance and a climate of corruption have awaken Georgia’s electorate.

If Christ returned tomorrow and ran for President as a Democrat, by Thursday republicans would be questioning his religious faith.

He’ll be at the downtown Altanta Hilton on Courtland. The Secret Service is blocking it all off this afternoon.
