Looks like that DOT vote will percolate through the weekend
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The Gainesville Times has this:
The Hall County Republican Party has called on Glenn Richardson to reinstate state Reps. Doug Collins, Tom Graves, Martin Scott and John Meadows to their former leadership positions.
The four were stripped of their committee assignments and other leadership positions after they voted for incumbent Mike Evans and not Glenn Richardson’s chosen candidate, Stacey Reece of Gainesville, as the DOT board member for the 9th Congressional District.
It’s worth noting, as we’re sure many of you have, that this is the home turf of Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle.

You should not ask for something when you do not know the whole truth. Has the Hall County Republican Party saw fit to call the Speakers Office and get his side of the story, and was it not in this very paper that you guys reported that these men tried to sell their vote by suggesting to the Speaker that they would vote for his guy if he would let a bill they support go to the floor.

Paulding, again I will point out that you are mistating what was reported. It basically comes down to if you are going to believe the man who attempted to bribe Mike Evans with a $100,000 per year job not to run and just last year was caught in an inappropriate relationship with a lobbyist. Bottom line, he made the offer to buy the DOT vote and now he’s lying about it.

“and just last year was caught in an inappropriate relationship with a lobbyist.”
Does anyone know where Mr. Speaker lays his head these days? Hint: not in Paulding, not with spouse, not alone.
