Joe Lowery gloating? Not him. Never.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
In one of its post-primary stories, the Associated Press quoted John Lewis and Andrew Young as saying they had no regrets about supporting Hillary Clinton — but that they were also happy to see that Barack Obama did so well.
But the 86-year-old Rev. Joseph Lowery, an Obama supporter, was less kind.
“He quipped that older black leaders who have chosen Clinton are simply ill,” the AP reported.
Said Lowery:
“They are infected with a disease called establishmentarianism. That is a succor to the folks who they think either have the power, or are about to get the power. They’re just stuck in the past and they can’t move forward. But the people have gone and left them. They’re like the drum major who couldn’t find the band.”

UNITY IS A TWO-WAY STREET! The Democrats will support the nominee either way. We will unite. Together, we will win in November! A vote for McCain is a vote for more war.

It appears Rev. Lowery’s racism is showing. Black racism is no prettier than white racism.

Rev. Joseph Lowery and Mayor Shirley Franklin knows what time it is. I’m just so happy to see that they supported Barak Obama from the start. Andrew Young and John Lewis really dissappointed me in their responses of Obama. In my eyes, they are trying to set back the movement for African-Americans. Obama is smart, highly educated, a community organizer who’s worked with the people in the trenches, family oriented, God fearing, and has experience with state legislation and the Senate. Most of all, Obama has proven sound judgment by opposing the Iraq war from the beginning unlike his opponent Hillary Clinton. Clinton didn’t even call for an investigation before voting favorably to this war. This is a sign of poor judgment. She won’t admit that she made a mistake…she’s dancing around the issue. Obama has also raised $32 million for his campaign in January and $7.5 million more since Super Tuesday. Unlike his opponent Hillary Clinton, he doesn’t have to go into his own bank account to carry out his campaign. He strategically developed and executed a plan by tapping into smaller resources. That’s another sign of exercising sound judgment. Clinton maxed out her big resources leaving her to spend $5 million of her own money to carry out her campaign. She’s not managing this very well. Obama has proven that there is HOPE, that he has a VISION, that he UNDERSTANDS what the people need, that UNIFICATION is the key to get things DONE, and that he analyzes his thoughts and plans before just saying and doing things. He’s exemplifies himself as a “leader”. Hillary Clinton thinks swiftly on her feet in these debates - just like the “typical politician” (lies, lies, lies). Fortunately, Obama is a profound thinker who I trust will make superior decisions that’s best for this country. I also did not like how Hillary and Bill Clinton lied about Barak Obama’s position on the Iraq War and Pro Choice for women. Sen. Ted Kennedy dispelled their lies about him not opposing the war. Obama’s speech in 2002 was also posted on the internet for everyone to read, so that helped dispose that myth. The former Chicago President of the National Organization of Women (NOW) also exposed Hillary Clinton for lying about Barak Obama’s position about pro choice. In fact, she stopped campaigning with Hillary Clinton and became a supporter of Barak Obama because of this. Her public video giving more insight on this matter can be found on You Tube. Hillary and Bill Clinton definitely have integrity issues. They will say and do anything to win this election, so they can move back to the White House. I don’t trust them. Thank you REV. JOSEPH LOWERY, MAYOR SHIRLEY FRANKLIN and other PROGRESSIVE GEORGIANS who supported Barak Obama on Super Tuesday and will continue to do so. You’re an inspiration. You believe in HOPE, CHANGE and the “MOVEMENT”. ANDREW YOUNG, JOHN LEWIS and the MAYNARD JACKSON FAMILY - I’m so sorry that you don’t have it in your minds and hearts to believe in Black progression. Quite frankly, I think it’s jealousy. He’s a smart, articulate, young African American male who’s not divisive and has a great chance to be a leader of this nation. The day has finally come and you chose not to support a man of color who has the ability and integrity to help get this nation together. You chose to support Hillary and Bill Clinton who has tried to demonize and destroy Obama’s campaign by airing lies about his positions he took in the Senate and interjecting race on the campaign trail. However, I must say, it’s so beautiful to see that not just a vast majority of African Americans in Georgia supported Obama, but statistics also shows a great showing of our White counterparts did as well. Half of the White males in Georgia supported Obama. We CAN come together as a people…YES WE CAN…WE BELIEVE. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s Dream lives on. In support of CHANGE (Obama ‘08), Denise.

Thank you, Denise…you said it true and well.
Rev. Lowery hit the nail on the head. Lewis and Young are, at best, stunted, at worst, sell-outs. They have neither vision nor discernment.
Now is the time to talk to friends and family across our Nation where delegates have yet to be determined.
Obama must be nominated and elected or McCain will be president and generations of drafted Americans will follow in service to Bush’s 9-11 treason and false war.
The time is now to end the fascist plutocracy of treason and racism which financed Hitler and the Holocaust, killed King and Kennedy to send us to Vietnam, and slaughtered the 3,000 on 9-11.
Obama is the one. May our prayers and G-d’s grace protect him.
Thank you Rev. Lowery, and thanks again Denise.

Barack Hussein Obama is just as much a part of the establishment as any other candidate out there. To think otherwise is foolish. Rev. Lowery’s logic is - he’s the black candidate, therefore he is not part of the establishment? Or is it just because he says he is not and uses the words change and hope a lot?

Is this the same Rev. Joseph Lowery that wrote letters of support for the payday lending industry when the loan sharks were trying to buy protection from our legislature? Yeah, Rev, preach to us about being “infected with a disease called establishmentarianism.”

People forget that many whites crossed over to vote for Obama just because he is the lesser of two evils. Still a communist. My belief is that this support will wane in the general election.
Wake up people!!! I know living a life of entitlement is great and all, but somebody’s got to pay for it! Using the “racist” tag against someone just because they see the true nature of a candidate is just unfair and standard democratic practices.
