McCain’s here.

Republican presidential candidate John McCain is here, and in a good mood. Many jokes.

Here’s the most interesting thing he said: Republicans lost the 2006 not because of the war in Iraq, he said, but because of overspending by a Republican contest. Getting rid of earmarks is a theme that every speaker has touched on so far.

From Phil Gramm on, everyone — including the candidate himself — is crediting McCain with uncovering “the bridge to nowhere in Alaska.” It’s an implicit criticism of President Bush, no doubt.

If I had a stinking nickel for every time I’ve heard McCain talk about the “bridge to nowhere” I could have paid for that stinking bridge! Give it a rest. Repblicans lost in 2006 because the genius McCain didn’t think of the “surge” idea until 2007. It was the war stupid, not the spending that cost the election. What a politician. Enough already!

Go Mitt! You are just what our sagging economy needs right now! I think McCain’s little trick several days prior to the Florida debate was deplorable! Lying and twisting your position on any withdrawal timetables in Iraq was his obvious desperate attempt to change the focus to the war and away from discussion of the economy, which he knows you clearly excel on. McStain has readily admitted he is weak on economic matters. Dirty tricks and politics! McStain you should be ashamed!

McCain will legalize the illegals, amnesty the illegal employers and open the borders for his business cronies. I won’t help him by voting for him.

Bush fooled me once on immigration - no gracias on the “straight talker”.

Too bad he doesn’t “understand the plight of the AMERICAN WORKERS! If the gop puts him up, they desrve to lose…big.

I see a write in protest vote in my future.

“Huckabee’s got my vote.” He isn’t putting on, he’s real, and I would put my trust in him to run the country. The other candidates are getting more exposure but, I believe if people will take time to listen to this guy they will see he is the man. I love his moral convictions, he’s not pushy but, firm. He has a fresh outlook on taxes with the fair tax which is great, non-income tax payers can chip in. He recognizes how the government can hender striving for success, (corporate taxes, estate taxes, taxes on savings,…) once you’ve achieved success and would like to past that on to your loved ones the govt wants to tax you again (death tax). I’m not going to go over all his postions on all the issues but, he sees the whole picture and his wisdom is what we need. Huckabee gets it and I hope America does, too. Vote for Mike Huckabee FEB 5TH

John, “Americans wouldn’t pick lettuce for fifty dollars and hour” McCain is a real card. HE is goinf to keep America strong and safe for Americans and HE, knows about what will fix “the economy”. Oh, really? Let’s see now you keep America and AMericans strong and safe by opening the borders, and you “fix” the economy by continuing a policy of perpetual war. I see. Are we at a trillion yet, with the ecomony fixing war?
